As an Executive Board Director for the Algarve Women's Network, I play a key role in driving the organization's mission to help women connect, grow, and support one another. I collaborate with fellow board members to create initiatives that provide education and skill development opportunities, empowering women in their personal and business ventures. I also help oversee events, workshops, and networking opportunities designed to foster collaboration, learning, and community among members.

Move the Needle

I launched the "Move the Needle" as an educational program for women interested in crypto and blockchain. Initially, I questioned the need for such a program, but I understand the challenges women face in this field. When I first got into blockchain and cryptocurrency in 2014, it was difficult to find resources and understand the terminology. The proliferation of crypto projects has since accelerated, leading me to fully immerse myself in this world.

Despite the increasing number of women involved and women-centric communities, issues like limited access to funding, lack of diversity and inclusivity, and work-life balance challenges persist. Accurate information and relevant examples are hard to come by in an era dominated by "fake news" and sensationalism. Identifying reliable information, distinguishing genuine projects, and navigating the job market or launching a web3 business has become more complex.

As a woman with firsthand knowledge and experience in the industry, I want to support other women and not only. My education program is tailored to each client's needs and covers various topics. I aim to empower and inspire women to thrive in the cryptocurrency industry.
