I have a number of different qualifications. With an educational background in television studies (PhD in Liberal Arts), visual and cultural anthropology, and international relations, I have produced television programs, run a communications agency, and worked in marketing. The usefulness of diverse experience, noting that many other people in the startup community started as philosophers, psychologists, engineers, or artists. An ability to use different skills and identities in different projects is, in my opinion, increasingly valuable, not only in entrepreneurial or professional activities, but also in tackling the social challenges of our age. I believe that entrepreneurial think and empowerment can change systems including societies. I am an idealist so I think the links between environment, human and sustainable security and development/innovations can be based on responsibility and knowledge. So of course education is one of the possibilites to expand but I am also convienced that responsible leaders are catalizing the process, so educating them is also a key element. I am a pragmatic idealist, believing in empowerment, knowledge transfer and has the experience how young, innovative leaders can catalyze changes in society.
