Vikas Gulati is the Vice President and Head of Technology at Cvent India, a leading provider of SaaS based software solutions for the events and meetings industry. He is responsible for product development and technology innovations for Cvent's suite of products. He is part of Cvent India startup team and established various technology sub divisions over the period of 14+ years he has been with Cvent. He was also instrumental in setting up data center, scaled India technology team from 1 to 400 members including product development and information technology. Hands on leader with multi product experience in design, architecture, development and delivering large scale internet based software products and solutions. Also known for his people management skills, he has retained and hired driven engineers for building internet scale systems and mentor them to achieve their goals, practice agile and scrum methodologies for product development to deliver business value. In the decade long journey, Vikas has grown within the ranks – he started with Cvent as a Lead Engineer and has grown to become Vice President and Head of Technology. Part of core senior leadership team, he is a partner in key organizational decisions across functions. Prior to joining Cvent, Vikas served BirlaSoft Limited where he managed delivery to big ticket clients in US, Middle East. started as Sr. Engineer and grew to Project Lead rank.
