I recently completed Master's in Management Analytics from McGill University with a strong focus on data engineering and machine learning. My interest in Data Engineering and Architecture stems from the potential benefits of making the data available in a suitable format for analysis to ease decision-making. I built the initial pipelines and dashboards in 2018 by fetching and analyzing the data from digital printing machines (Konica Minolta), and inventory data. I automated the daily decision-making to assist me in inventory management, targeted service offerings, and bifurcating the clients into various categories. Despite having previously used data-driven decision-making, I encountered problems as the data volume increased from a few thousand to millions of rows, and we started ingesting data in multidimensional formats. To upskills myself in the same field, I decide to pursue Masters in Management Analytics from McGill. Over the last couple of years, I have worked with several international companies on academic analytics and research projects, including CAE and ALDO in North America and Reserva Conchal in Costa Rica. These projects involved understanding the root issues of the stakeholders and developing the architecture and data pipelines to support the Analysts and data scientists. I was also responsible for creating the documentation for the ease of knowledge transfer and dashboards to analyze the health of the developed solutions and underlying ML Models. Outside my passion for analytics, I enjoy gardening, raspberry Pi IoT projects, and hiking.
