I do many things. Some of them I am actually good at. So good I get paid to do them. Short version would say “I write words in English, Spanish and Catalan to help you get more customers”. Luckily enough, LinkedIn lets me go into further detail. 👇 HOW CAN THIS SPANISH, WEIRD, LONG-HAIRED MAN HELP YOU In many ways. Most of them are related to writing. We should probably check first if any of them are actually helpful to you. Are you one of these? ◼️ You run a business and want to expand it to the Spanish market. ◼️ You run a content agency and need content created in English, Spanish or Catalan. ◼️ You wrote a book and want it to reach a Spanish-speaking audience. You are? Good. Then I can help you grow your business doing this: 🖊️ Copywriting in English, Spanish and Catalan 🖊️ Content writing in English, Spanish and Catalan 🖊️ Transcreation (AKA Creative Translation) from English to Spanish and Catalan You're probably familiar with the first two. They're often presented like this: I write words so you get more traffic. I write words so you build your authority. I write words so you get more sales. I write words so you don't have to. But... WHAT THE F*** IS TRANSCREATION? I wrote a post about it. It's on my Featured section down below. But I'll summarise it for you here: 👉 Transcreation is what a bilingual copywriter does when a translated text loses its mojo. I'm a copywriter. I'm bilingual. I've done plenty of translation work in the past. And I've seen some baaaaaaad Spanish versions of website copy, ads and videogames. Don't get me wrong. The translations were fine. They were accurate, well-written and sounded natural. That's what a translator does. But they didn't take the target audience into consideration. They didn't elicit the same emotion. They didn't convince customers to take action. And that's what a copywriter is supposed to do. If you merge those two, you get a transcreator. You could see them as copywriters who can write comfortably in two languages. Or translators who are willing to rip your originals apart and build something from scratch. Or as someone who can help you be a star abroad. If you're thinking of getting more Spanish love and customers, e-mails make me happy. 🙃 [email protected]
