Mount Everest, the tallest mountain on Earth, is not that easiest of places to visit. A few others and myself made the trek to Mount Everest base camp in October of 2017. After flying from Katmandu to Lukla (The History Channel in 2010, rated this airport as the most dangerous airport in the world for over 20 years) we trekked to more than 18,000ft in elevation and 100+ miles to experience Mount Everest. Hiking with a purpose, with the support from family and friends, we were able to help brighten and lighten smiles to the children in Nepal by providing over 100 crayons/colored pencils and over 300 tooth brushes/toothpaste throughout our journey.

In 2013, after years of experiential marketing experience and direct client service, I co-founded Xocial Marketing as a genuine alternative to big box experiential agencies with the goal of providing event marketing solutions. This entrepreneurial endeavor was driven by an industry need for dynamic, adaptive, and honest service. Over four years, our company’s growth from small to big name clientele such as Under Armour and Ghirardelli allowed for my own personal growth in project management, client relations and graphic design. 

•	Provided account management and program execution to diverse clientele within sports nutrition, premium chocolate, hydroponic nutrients, consumer product goods, energy supply, motorsports, motivational speakers and athletic apparel industries.  
•	Led all creative conceptualization, produced graphics assets using Adobe Creative Suites, and managed third party vendors to fabricate program elements.
•	Developed and lead 6-month nationwide retail marketing tour, three holiday retail activations, two-month three-market local market sampling program, 30+ B2B and B2C trade shows.
•	Responsible for half a million in sales for a client directly through marketing execution.

Successfully completed hiking the entire Appalachian Trail.  Under the group name of BackpackingAT, three good friends started off this trail spanning 2,185.9 miles, 14 States, took  almost 7 months to complete. With the aid of the latest technology, sponsors, past experiences and a great mixture of personalities, I've updated, upload, tweeted, posted, captured, and blogged our adventures. From my 50 mile day hike, to weathering a snow storm where the fastest wind was recorded on a mountain to staring a bear in the face  to our emotional experiences on the trail... I've shared it all. Growing my followers organically to over 6,000 people across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, I have been able to provide a daily vicarious experience and interact with my fans to educate and entertain them along way.

Backpacking AT Thru-Hiker

Programa Restauración de Tortugas Marinas (PRETOMA)

Spent 5 months volunteering at a Turtle Conservatory in a remote area of Costa Rica, starting early July 2012 and ending the beginning of December, 2012.  Helped Sea Turtles nest and hatch their eggs safely from poachers, natural predators and other harmful environmental conditions. My daily duties were building a hatchery, patrolling the beach for nesting turtles, releasing babies that hatch and exhuming the eggs left over in the nest. Acted as main chef for our project site, preparing and cooking the meals for the volunteers and guests. On the side, assisted other programs of Pretoma such as community involvement, sustainable fishing, ecological reforestation.

Volunteer Assistant Research Coordinator

WIDECAST WIDER CARIBBEAN SEA TURTLE CONSERVATION NETWORK INC

Spent a little over one week at Playa Blanca, Costa Rica helping Turtles. Here we helped Widecast, a sea turtle conservation non-profit organization, with their daily tasks of capturing turtles and their data, mangrove restoration and mapping underwater topography.

Assistant Research Coordinator

I sent a contest application to SeeTurtles (http://www.seeturtles.org/1/see-turtles.html) to become a volunteer for a week in Costa Rica, helping gather information on Sea Turtles. After applying and being selected as a top ten finalist, I went to work creating a brand identity and campaign, HelpingTurtles. The purpose of this campaign was to get more Facebook "Likes" than the other nine contestants during the week long voting duration.

The time leading up to the voting week, I designed and created much of the collateral, give-a-ways and set up several guerrilla marketing events as well as a voting party at the end. With the help of some great friends and family I was able to create a sensational arsenal of tools. During the voting week, I spent every waking moment coordinating friends across the globe (literately) to share my story and vote for me. Using tactical postings on various sites, networking with people and groups and promoting myself as a local celebrity I was able to reach the masses. 

With over 2,500 votes (Facebook "Likes") and 1,000+ shares we conquered over the other 9 finalist to win a round trip flight to Costa Rica, free lodging and food at a Sea Turtle Conservatory.
