Built & launched a Sales engagement platform to help tech-oriented founders successfully prospect and close new business. All data-backed. It was going to be the Sales exoskeleton for CTOs. 

Brought to $3k MRR, thought we were off to the races, had an LOI for $600k pre-seed.

Realized that everyone wanted the outcome but no one wanted to put in the effort. Kinda sucks when you have to pay and change your entire habits to see results so I can't blame anyone. 

Also, Co-Founder lied to me for 6 months, did some pretty wonky stuff on the Tech side and wasn't committed enough to the vision. You live & you learn.

Learned a lot about entrepreneurship, made incredible connections along the way. 10/10 would do it all over again.

Dolead

I managed the Sales operations in North America, reporting to the CEO. 

We took the US efforts from $0 to a number everyone is very happy about.

Prospected & closed the first 15 deals then hired, trained, coached and managed a team of successful BDRs, AEs, AMs, CSMs and SalesOps.

Traveled all around the US for tradeshows (13 in 16 months, then covid hit).

Learned a lot about recruiting (wink wink), talent retention, management, feedback, P&L, strategy, spreadsheet-led decision-making and how to keep everyone together while working remotely. 

Also became a Master at hosting Trivia games, they called me "Canadian Steve Harvey".

Great gig selling fiber optic networks to Quebec's Top 500 firms. Lots of hunting, 3 to 18-month sales cycles, big numbers. Selling to IT was... interesting. 

Closed $4.5M, was headhunted.

Introduced 30+ AI-focused Montreal start-ups to the fund so they could pitch to investors. It was the blockchain frenzy, the early days of AI.

Managed to sell for $400k in 3 months but didn't enjoy the product enough.

Structured the role, created the onboarding, hired, trained and coached Reps whom I was paying $200/week + commissions. Yes, I had to be very creative to keep them motivated.

Was headhunted, left a great team behind because the new firm offered me a "real" salary and I wanted to start a family.

Learned a lot, mostly by myself. Hit the road, met with 350 firms, kept pitching bigger and bigger accounts. 

Closed $500k in 8 months (average deal was $5k when I joined).

Once I received my Visa, it was time to kick things off. I met my mentor, Nikola Léger, who taught me everything I know today: sales, account management, accountability, being the best version of yourself, being on top of your game, learning, learning how to learn, "don't think about the outcome", emotion control, cold calling "call center" style with a Business touch.

I consider this to be my Sales MBA.

It's been smooth sailing honestly -- just kidding -- it's been the wildest ride of my professional life so far

I can still hear myself say "yeah I'll do this for a year or 2, more than that, it's not sustainable"

4 years later, here's what happened:

- 266 people placed
- 60% of them are AEs, 25% are Leadership roles
- According to Google Cal, I spent 2691h talking to candidates or clients
- August 2025 is our best month to date

Also 2 years ago TrackRec happened and we're about to announce 10,000 users

Now for the sad part, my dad passed away in May and I really wish he could see everything that's happening, although somehow, I'd like to believe he does
