Topic: Radio Network Demand Management and Traffic Forecasting using Big Data Analytics

- Implementing Traffic Projection Model for Telefonica GmbH using the network data.
- Implementing Big Data analytics use cases.

Master Thesis Project

As a Work Student, I was working on Automation and Testing of Mobile Network Communication using TTCN-3 – Creating and executing the Test Automation Frameworks and Test Automation suites. Worked on new traffic management features/enhancements. I was responsible for the design, implementation and delivery of the SIP - SDP protocol for the new RFC`s. Integrating Test suites into the Test Management System and did custom test harnesses using Vim Text editor in Linux (Ubuntu-OS).

Attended a 3-month training on "TTCN-3" organised by Telefonica GmbH:
 -Standardized, modular testing language specifically designed for testing which was created by leading experts from industry and academia at the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI).

Attended a Training on "NG-40 (Network Diagnostics) Network Topology" organised by ng4T GmbH:
 - Learnt the SIP/IMS test suite for LTE ready
 - Learnt NG40 features about LTE-Interfaces
 - Understanding of Deep Packet Inspection and Traffic Shaping with NG40
 - Simulation of the functionality of MME, SGSN and MSC for HLR / HSS verification using NG-40.
 - Generation of MAP messages for the communication from/to HLR and DIAMETER messages for the communication from/to HSS.

Internship Topic: Design and Implementation of Session Initiation Protocols (SIP) using Testing and Test Control Notation version-3 (TTCN-3 - a standardized language of ETSI).

Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) is a signaling protocol used to create, manage and terminate sessions in an IP based network. It is a standard (RFC 3261) put forward by Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) which has its root way back to 1980’s. But at this moment, the job of SIP is limited to only the setup and control of sessions. The goal of the Internship is to implement the SIP Protocol using Testing and Test Control Notation version 3 (TTCN-3) for Telefonica Automation Test System (TATS).

TTCN-3 is a test scripting language used in conformance testing of communicating systems and a specification of test infrastructure interfaces that glue abstract test scripts with concrete communication environments. TTCN-3 has been developed by ETSI. TTCN-3 has been used to deploy SIP systems. The task which I have been assigned to, is to build the SIP Modules (which has several important components that includes SIP_Module, SIP_Constraints, SIP_Teststeps, SIP_Testcases) along with the Session Description Protocol (SDP) module which makes the SIP-to-SIP interactions possible. TATS has the state of the art networking elements from Life Network, which is a Network Equipment Vendor (NEV) from whom Telefonica gets its Equipment presently. They use the finalized SIP module to have SIP-to-SIP interactions among its fixed network.

As a working student, I was responsible for building the GUI (Graphical User Interface) for tracking the reference position, velocity, acceleration, pitch, yaw and the change of height of a satellite in an orbit based on the customer needs.

DEAR 20-YEAR-OLDs,

I just want to drop a little truth bomb:

You don't need to have your whole life mapped out right now. Seriously, forget those rigid 5-year plans and 10-year strategies everyone keeps harping on about. And retirement at 30? Yeah, right!

Here's the deal: It's totally okay not to have it all figured out from day one. This is your time to break free and explore!

- Don't be afraid to try new things, even if they seem outlandish. Go on a workation! Embrace the nomad life!

- Disconnect from your gadgets for a few days.

- Brainstorm a startup idea or two. You never know where that spark might lead!

- Connect with people – both online and off. 

- Explore, explore, and explore some more! 

Most importantly, have fun! This is a time of immense potential and self-discovery. Embrace the chaos, learn from your mistakes, and enjoy the ride!

Here’s how I think SICK LEAVE abuse is Sinking Companies!

Have you guys ever felt like your manager is channelling the vibe of those strict high school teachers who wouldn't let you leave for a bathroom break without permission? 

Personally, I've heard countless stories from friends feeling guilty for wanting a vacation or getting grilled about the authenticity of their reasons for leaving, like attending a friend's wedding. So it's no wonder some resort to last-minute sick leave just to escape the pressure.


But do you all think it's fair on our part to do this?

Here's the thing: Denying employees will lead to burnout, decreased productivity, and worst case your company will lose a valuable employee. And it’s going to backfire on the team and the company. If not today, someday. 


So I think it's time for organizations to reassess their values and priorities regarding employee well-being. Let's aim for workplaces where employees feel valued, respected, and fully supported in taking the time off to recharge and thrive.  :)

Hey Founders, please stop wasting time trying to be a motivational speaker here.
Instead, be a storyteller here. 

No, I'm not here to tell you to stop – in fact, I'm all for it! But let's ponder this: Does a founder need to be a content creator?

You see, as I've been on this journey with bitsCrunch, my role has shifted from focusing solely on our product to understanding the ins and outs of the digital world. Along the way, I've realized just how crucial building brand awareness is for us. 

Here are a few things I've picked up during my content creation journey:

- Embrace Your Imperfections: It's okay to show the rough patches along with the successes. Sharing your failures humanizes you and can inspire others who are facing similar challenges.

- Highlight Your Uniqueness: Every brand has its own story and personality. Take the opportunity to showcase what makes yours special and stand out from the crowd.

- Simplify Complex Topics: Sometimes, as founders, we forget that not everyone understands our industry as well as we do. Breaking down complicated subjects into easy-to-understand nuggets can help educate and engage your audience.

Of course, being a content creator isn't always a walk in the park. Balancing it with the demands of running a startup can feel overwhelming at times. But with the right tools and a commitment to staying true to ourselves, it's definitely doable.

At the end of the day, while being a content creator might not be mandatory for founders, it certainly has a big impact. What do you think? I'd love to hear your experiences and keep this conversation going!

Let's not make 20-year-olds who are just entering the industry, panic by saying "They should have started early"

We all hear it: "You should have gotten experience sooner!" 

But do we as an industry, low-key panic when a 20-year-old with killer tech skills and a social media presence enters our industry? Are we secretly worried they'll challenge the status quo with their unfiltered opinions and boundless energy?

Here's the thing: telling a young professional they're "late" only fuels anxiety and discourages fresh perspectives.  ❌ The real key to success? Passion, resilience, and those brilliant new ideas they bring to the table.

Industry leaders, it's time to ditch the ageism.  Become a mentor, an advocate.    Let's foster a culture where experience and fresh ideas complement each other, not compete.

Do you all know the Indian parent mindset, the one where we feel the need to double, triple, or even quadruple-check everything to ensure it's done perfectly? 

Now, there's nothing wrong with this but let's be real, it can also drive us a little crazy sometimes, am I right?

As leaders or just people in positions of authority, we often find ourselves falling into this trap too - micromanaging every little thing. Guilty as charged, even I catch myself doing it occasionally!

But here's the thing. Our inner perfectionist sometimes forgets that our team members are fully capable, intelligent human beings with full-sized aortic pumps (if you know what I mean 😉).

All jokes aside, I think we must learn to trust a little more. We need to reassure ourselves and our team that it's okay to take risks, to try things out, and yes, even to fail sometimes. 

Because when we empower our team members to take ownership and initiative, they'll not only feel more valued and respected, but they'll also be more motivated to excel. 

So the next time you assign a task to someone set clear expectations, schedule regular check-ins instead of constant supervision, focus on results rather than specific methods and most importantly celebrate their success.

Okay, recruiters, let's be honest. Telling someone they didn't get the job can feel, well, crappy. We've all been tempted by the ghosting route – vanish after interviews, problem solved, right?  Wrong.  Leaving candidates hanging is a recipe for a bad brand image. 

Here's why a well-crafted "no" is actually a powerful tool:

Came across LinkedIn’s L’appraisal Butter and couldn’t agree more. 
 
Let's face it, appraisal season can feel like a bad acting scene –  lots of forced smiles and lines everyone knows by heart. But what if this year, we rewrote the script and turned appraisals into a goldmine for growth? Wouldn't it be refreshing to have a conversation where transparency is the norm?

But here's the thing,  honesty's a two-way street. So here's a challenge:

Self-reflect: Before your appraisal, take a deep dive into your performance. What were your wins? What areas could you improve?

Gather evidence: Quantify your achievements whenever possible. Did you crush a sales target? Streamline a process? Numbers talk!

Be an active participant: Don't just sit back and wait for feedback. Come to the table with your own observations and goals for development.
