Knowledge really helps hold you accountable. 

Slept like crap last night.  Woke up at 6:30 for my run. (594 days in a row)

Initial thought: "It might be best to sleep 2 more hours, and i'll run later"

Data:
- Recent research suggests running can help offset poor sleep
- Committing to do something, and then quitting literally makes you weaker (and I had committed to run the day before)

Welp... all data points to... go run.

Series A fundraising looks drastically different from a Seed Raise. 

And having you're forecast ready to share and tell the story of your business can speed up the entire process.

Excel is impossible to compete with. 

So we have focused on where it absolutely misses. 

And one of those areas is what we call "digestibility"

If a company can't understand finance, they will never look at it like a resource. And after working with some of the smartest department leaders in the world. Excel is the absolute worst thing to try to understand. 

BUT... what if with one-click, you could see that decreasing churn from 3% to 1.5%, you extend your runway 14 months?

Someone will apply to a role with years and years of experience because they think that is what people are looking for. 

What matters is SLOPE. 

What is Slope? 

Basically... let's say you have 10 years of "experience"... well:
1. How many times did you get promoted in that time? 
2. Did the caliber of company you work at get better? 
3. What wins did you get in that time period? 

Leading with "i hAvE 10 yEarS of ExPerie....." is a total waste. 

And honestly... if you have 10+ years of experience, and very little slope. 

Start over. I know that sucks to hear. But finding a new role to get into where you can show slope is what i'd do.

When a VC tells a founder "We want to put rocket fuel in a rocket ship", most founders have no idea what that means. 

But one number can give you insight into what that means. 

And that is "MAGIC NUMBER"

It's a simple way to find out if you're adding revenue in an efficient way, or if you're just buying all of your revenue.
