Includes; Periodic Maintenance, Accident Repairs and related Insurance Procedures, Participate in all costing exercises from Maintenance and down time perspective, Workshop Management, Capacity planning, Quality Audit, Vendor Management, Handling Technical Escalations, Liaising with brands on spare parts planning and capacity.
EV injection is another key responsibility, Al Futtaim being the trailblazer in the industry spear heading EV adoption. Managed to set up an eco system to manage the fleet of EV's including setting up of chargers in premise.

A mechanical engineer in car rental industry may seem to be as an irony. Operations Research and Operations Management, the management subjects in engineering syllabus, induced the logic of management. 
Entered Car rental industry as Workshop controller, being so, helped to improve the technical skills. Since Maintenance is only a portion of the industry, i expanded the area of study, to total business operations. Found the Essence of game there. Opex, being the crucial term in business forecasting and analysis, have the same vitality here. Opex in turn, varies in direct proportion to the way, operation is conducted. 
The best suiting role, of a mechanical engineer is found here, in Operations Management. Used Transportation problem solving techniques, Critical Path Method, Vogel's Aproximation Method etc. for vehicle collection and deliveries, and Techniques like Minimum cost method for Cost minimization. This could make the process, structured and systematical. Also, the data extracted are logically processed and exhibited, which gave an answer for the simple and vital question, where we are ? Having a blurred answer for this question is like Moving in dark with no light/ Moving in dark with light on hand, and with eyes closed. Efficient and proper reporting can light-up all areas and keep eyes open. I could successfully implement the above techniques and engineer a stable and reliable process.

Panacea, Being an Indian OEM of medical equipment, helped to cast a strong base in the core of Mechanical Engineering. Joined as a Production engineer, who reviews all part drawings and assembly drawings and study's the possibility of converting the same to a working prototype. Being on role i could excel in technical tools like Pro/Engineer and Auto CAD.
Role got more interesting, when i started to manufacture the components, correcting the identified errors. Exposure to Machine shop operations, especially to CNC machines, Surface coating, Surface hardening, heat treatment, Metal cutting techniques, had ignited the engineer in me. Got myself on track, accelerated and completed the first project, Digital Radiography Machine, two months before schedule, which is my first remarkable achievement. I received a confirmation letter after three months, which was promised to issue after six months. With this golden feather on my cap, i could complete Digital Mammography and Multi Leaf Collimator.
With the idea and skills achieved from production industry, i could give shape to a fully automated patient couch mechanism, which is my first design. 
Exposure in the following areas is the highlight : ISO standards for designing a mechanism, standard parts and mechanisms in market, standard material sizes, material testing and coding, surface treatment techniques, heat treatment techniques, Metal and non-metal cutting techniques, tolerance in fits, types of fits, assembly conditions, ISO documentation, basic machine operations, Work force management, Working in strict time constraints, Purchase, Store operation, Conducting all these in an ERP etc.
