Hi, I’m Vinayak, a marketing manager by profession and an entrepreneur by heart. Ever since my childhood (literally, I was 16 years old), I began selling & marketing. Back then, I used to make and sell science projects to my class mates in school. As I was good in science(best in Biology), I wanted to get into medical studies and become a Doctor. So, I dropped a year for medical entrance preparation, and my hard work paid off. I was offered a MBBS seat in Delhi’s one of the most reputed Medical college. But, I chose not to materialize that dream and took a different path. However, I fell in love with entrepreneurship later when I started selling products online on ebay India. During the first year of my undergraduate college, when I was just 19 I started my first company, at that time I didn't even know the meaning of a startup. I started it as a side hustle which later on turned into a full time project. In 2013, when Amazon started its India operations, I was among the pioneering sellers who got registered on Amazon marketplace. With Amazon our sales skyrocketed to 5 million INR in just 6 months. I didn’t stop here. Our sales performance came under the radar of the Amazon India marketing team, and they featured my startup journey in a YouTube video (link in bio). This motivated me further in life. Later on, I thought of upgrading my skills and knowledge, so I Joined IIM Amritsar for my MBA. After completion of first year in MBA, I was offered an off-campus internship at Google (a story for another day) in YouTube India marketing team. Post internship, I wasn’t offered a job at Google. However this, failures didn’t stop me from experimenting and trying new things. I was offered a marketing role at Thomas Cook India Ltd. Since then, I have been helping organisations to build products and services, find new customers & grow exponentially through Outbound and Digital marketing. Meanwhile, I started a hobby of reading and learning about Capital markets. On interacting with friends and family, I realised everyone talks about investing money but no one knows the right path of achieving their financial goal.
