Vinod Bhaskaran is a seasoned Capital Markets leader with 17+ years of experience in banking and financial technology. He has had a successful career in a variety of roles spanning Product Management & Development, Strategy & Execution, Go-To-Market Planning & Delivery and Cross-Asset Derivatives Trading. With a decade of trading experience across multiple asset classes at global banks like Lehman Brothers, Lloyds and NatWest Markets, Vinod has built a deep expertise in Capital Markets as a practitioner. He has leveraged this expertise to develop a passion for using technology to solve business problems and deliver value. Currently at Adenza, he is the Global Head of Product Management for Capital Markets Front Office, Middle Office & Risk where he leads a team of ~50 product professionals to drive the Calypso strategy and roadmap for these product areas. His remit includes topics such as Financial Products, Asset Management, Digital Channels (ePortals), Analytics (Pricing, Risk, PnL), Front Office Tools (Workstations), Credit & Market Risk, XVA, Initial Margin, Treasury & Liquidity, Limits & Compliance. In his wide-ranging role, he is also responsible for championing innovation in emerging areas such as ESG, Crypto & Digital Assets, and Distributed Ledger Technologies. Before joining Adenza, Vinod was Digital Business Lead in the Chief Digital Office of NatWest Markets, responsible for the bank’s digital transformation strategy and execution, reporting into the Chief Digital Officer. Previously at Finastra, he spearheaded the development of Trader Workstations, Analytics, FRTB etc. and led global GTM campaigns in Capital Markets, Risk and Treasury solutions. Vinod enjoys leading and inspiring global, cross-functional teams and collaborating across multiple stakeholders to achieve tangible business outcomes. Vinod holds MBA and B.Tech degrees from the prestigious Indian Institute of Management and Indian Institute of Technology respectively. In his down time, he enjoys cooking, playing badminton, family time, and reading about business, technology, politics, and science fiction.
