Don’t like how some of your leadership is acting? Talk to them. Set an example.

Want to establish a casual dress code? It starts with you.

Think the company needs to have less meetings? Once again, you need to start having less meetings.

Everyone will be looking to you to dictate the situation. Don’t forget that in your day to day around the office.

Here are five tips I swear by: 
 🎤 Connect with your audience by sharing personal stories 
 🎤 Use expressive body language and gestures to emphasize key points
 🎤 Practice active listening by responding to audience reactions and adjusting your delivery accordingly
🎤 Make the audience the hero of your story not yourself 
🎤 One of the most powerful things you have is the power of your pause.  Use it!

A whole lot of interesting things start to happen when you choose to live your authentic life and stop worrying so much about the opinions of others, according to Brianna Wiest in her book, "The Pivot Year." Living authentically can lead to personal growth, increased self-awareness, and a sense of fulfillment. It can also inspire others to do the same. So, if you're feeling stuck or unsure about your path, consider taking the leap and living authentically. Who knows what interesting things could happen for you


I recently had the privilege of connecting with some bright college students, and I want to share some uplifting advice for those of you embarking on your career journey.

First and foremost, realize this: there's no chasm between you and those who helm the companies you work for. Your potential knows no bounds; don't shackle your dreams with limitations. Your path to success isn't about reaching a specific title; it's about daring to dream big and embracing every opportunity with enthusiasm.
As you step into the professional arena, integrity should be your guiding light. Be honest, not just with your employer, but with yourself. Commit to showing up, giving it your all, and being a rock-solid pillar of reliability.
Stay curious. Ask questions, seek knowledge, and never quench your thirst for learning. Your genuine curiosity will set you apart and propel you forward.
Authenticity is your superpower. Let your aspirations shine through, unfiltered and unapologetic. And remember, feedback is a gift, not a critique. Embrace it graciously, using it to fuel your growth rather than letting it dampen your spirit.
Humility is key. No matter how brilliant you are, stay grounded and humble. The journey of learning never ends, so keep your ego in check and remain open to new insights.
Forge deep, meaningful connections with your colleagues and superiors. Trust isn't just a currency; it's the foundation of fruitful relationships. Cultivate it earnestly, not for personal gain, but because it's the right thing to do.
Gratitude is a game-changer. Even in the toughest of times, find solace in the opportunities before you. Remember, your response to adversity shapes your destiny. Choose resilience, choose optimism, choose to thrive.
Every day is a blank canvas, waiting for your brush strokes. Seize control of your narrative, believing wholeheartedly in your ability to navigate any challenge that comes your way.
Perseverance is your ally. When the going gets tough, dig deep and keep pushing forward. And amidst the hustle, don't forget to find joy in what you do. Passion fuels perseverance, so seek out work that sets your soul on fire.
Your voice matters. Speak up, not to flaunt your knowledge, but to demonstrate your commitment to the task at hand. Be assertive, be proactive, and remember: success doesn't come to those who wait—it comes to those who go out and seize it.
