I am a BIH research group lead, heading the “Responsible Algorithms” research group, and a principal investigator at the QUEST Centre for responsible research at the Berlin Institute of Health of Charité Berlin, as well as a visiting Professor of Medical Informatics at Birmingham City University. My main research focus lies at the intersection of trustworthy AI/AI ethics in healthcare and meta-research in AI. Specific interests of mine are robustness, transparency, xAI, bias, reproducibility, the translation of AI in healthcare solutions, and improving healthcare product development.
