Back in 2023, when we launched our Creative AI report, we argued that digital product development would eventually approach zero cost.

The launch of Claude Cowork last week made that future come closer. 

Although it's merely a rework of Claude code, and was in fact developed in two weeks using Claude code, it focused on something different. Non-coders.

Autonomous systems handling complex workflows and digital development for non-coders, challenges the status quo. Many tools like Lovable and n8n  have walked the same path, but this time, it made more of a shockwave. 

After the launch, shares of companies like Salesforce and Adobe dropped as investors began questioning how defensible traditional software revenue models will be in the future.

This isn’t about Anthropic or one new tool launch.
It’s about what happens when the marginal cost of building software keeps falling and business models built on scarcity start to crack..

“It's not your data.”

In other words: Data doesn’t become usable by accident.

You might generate the data, but you create it on behalf of your company.
Making that mindset shift, from ownership to responsibility, ensuring it is of quality and it is accessible, is key to a successful AI transformation. 

This line from Alberto Prado, former VP Data and Digital at Unilever, stuck with me.

I loved the discussion with Jensen Huang at the World Economic Forum in Davos earlier today.

A few of my notes and reflections:

“You don't write AI, you teach AI.”
We are moving away from writing code towards teaching systems. I believe the real advantage will go to organizations that can translate their unique know-how, processes, and judgment into AI faster than others.

“You need to have AI as part of your infrastructure.”
This is a simple yet important statement. AI should not be treated as a tool you experiment with on the side. I believe it needs to be designed into the core of how companies and countries operate. Just like electricity, cloud, or logistics, AI is becoming a foundational layer. If it’s not part of your infrastructure thinking, you’re already behind.

“The easiest way to think about the impact of AI on a particular job is to understand the purpose of the job vs the task.”
This is a very practical way to think about workforce impact. Leaders should clearly separate purpose from tasks for every role. That makes it much easier to decide where AI should automate work, where people need to reskill, and where human interaction becomes even more important.

“AI is super easy to use. It is the easiest software to use in history, and that's the reason why it's the fastest growing and most rapidly adopted.”
I believe this changes the conversation entirely. Adoption is no longer the hard part. The real constraints are governance, change management, and redesigning workflows fast enough to actually create value.

For context, the conversation was between Jensen Huang (Founder, President and CEO, NVIDIA) and Larry Fink (Chair and CEO, BlackRock) at the World Economic Forum earlier today. 

AI Transformation is about organizational design. The companies that win will be the ones that rebuild how work gets done around AI, not the ones that simply add it on top.
