Building Hyno, which is aimed at assisting software engineers in securing remote job opportunities.

I have worked with over 30 startups, helping them hire initial tech teams and have been part of a 0 to 1 journey for six startups in the fintech, edutech, and health domains.

Being a Tech Architect, built Telangana’s MAUD brain child TS-bPASS-(Telangana State Building Permission Approval and Self-Certification System) a single integrated platform for processing various permissions required during the development of land and construction of buildings and layouts through a self-certification system which has given permission more than 2 lakhs+ buildings and layout permissions and has clocked a revenue more than 1Billion USD.

After Graduation from BITS worked for a couple of years as a software engineer around June 16, I began my entrepreneurship journey with Washapp Incubated at T Hub, an online laundry and dry-cleaning service that raised 500K USD and processed over 5 lakh garments. We had over 5000 active customers, but we were forced to shut down during the COVID-19 pandemic due to operational and logistics challenges that prevented us from scaling.

We now live in a connected world where knowledge is more accessible and talent is more widespread. I am committed to making opportunities universal with Hyno for Developers.  Bootstrapped and build 1mn+ ARR in last 2 years. Aiming to 5mn+ in the next 2 years.

A year ago, I was at StartupGrind in San Francisco, trying to scale Hyno — our platform that helped startups build high-quality remote engineering teams. We had worked with 20+ companies, placed solid engineers across time zones, and truly believed that remote was the future.

And then… things changed.

Somewhere along the way, the product itch kicked in again. I spent 4 months thinking, building, experimenting — and within 3 months, we launched Squarebox: a SaaS platform built on WhatsApp, designed to help businesses drive customer engagement through automation and voice.

At the time, I thought I could run both. But somehow, I strongly thought of pivoting Hyno because we were  built on two core beliefs:

First, remote work unlocks access to world-class talent anywhere in the world.

Second, that the gap between an average engineer and a great one is massive, and that hiring great engineers is the fastest way to 10x your startup.

But over the past year, both of those beliefs were challenged.

When I met the builders behind tools like Codeium, Cursor, and other AI coding platforms, I could feel a shift coming. These weren’t toys. They were writing code, fixing bugs, reviewing pull requests — and doing it instantly. I remember walking out of those conversations thinking, this is going to change everything. And now, a year later, we’re seeing it unfold.

Founders who once obsessed over hiring top remote engineers are no longer looking. The gap between average and great engineers, at least in terms of raw code output, is disappearing. What matters now is product sense, execution speed, and understanding what to build and why.

That shift hit me hard.

About 6 months ago, we quietly stopped all outbound efforts for Hyno. No cold emails. No paid ads. No founder outreach. We made a deliberate shift and moved our entire energy to Squarebox.

Today, Hyno isn’t the company it used to be. We still support 3–4 founders a year, mostly through referrals. But it’s no longer the core of what we do.

Still, I don’t think Hyno is dead. I think it’s evolving.

What if Hyno becomes a platform not for hiring engineers, but for hiring AI agents? Agents that can ship React apps, fix backend issues, auto-review PRS, and deploy in hours, not weeks. Maybe that’s the next remote team.

I don’t have all the answers yet. But this much I’ve learned:

1. Don’t marry your idea.
2. Fall in love with the problem, not your past.
3. Even good businesses lose relevance if the market shifts. Adapt anyway.(This happens very rapidly to many businesses soon.. that's what I am anticipating now)

We’re still building. Still learning. Still figuring it out.

And for now, my core team from Hyno is building Squarebox full-time.
We’re learning, listening, and growing again.

Squarebox.ai Build in Public – April 2025

This month, we paused new customer acquisition to focus on what truly drives value for our users.

After 100+ hours of usage analysis, one insight stood out—WhatsApp helps initiate contact, but real engagement needs voice. For segments like real estate and edtech, actual conversations—questions, doubts, decisions—happen over calls.

So we shifted gears.
We’re building for how sales actually happen—a loop between WhatsApp and voice. Conversations start on chat, move to a call for trust, then back to WhatsApp for follow-ups and action.

Our AI agent fits right into this WhatsApp-to-call loop—talking to leads, qualifying them, and answering FAQs over voice, using real business context. It’s already driving better response rates, faster conversions, and reducing manual follow-ups.

We also realized broadcasting doesn’t work—poor delivery, misused templates, and spammy content kill engagement. So we’re focusing on personalised conversations and real-time nudges, not mass blasts.

Tech Updates:

Voice AI is live and evolving fast.
Automations are solid—most users now run workflows without lifting a finger.
Onboarding and UI fixes are in progress.

Squarebox is no longer just a messaging tool—it’s becoming a conversation engine where WhatsApp and voice work together to move sales forward.

Everything is fully automated:
The customer clicked on an ad → got an instant WhatsApp message → requested a callback → our voice AI handled the call → and a personalized follow-up message was sent based on the conversation.

At this point, protecting my ChatGPT memory is more important than protecting my Gmail password.
