Having managed these companies’ finances for the bulk of these 10 years, he now play a bigger game in life, that is, to plan for individuals’ finances. To do so, joining an insurance company is a natural choice.

A beneficiary of insurance himself, Vincent realizes the importance of having one’s risk passed over to an insurance company. As such, he has a strong urge to help individuals realize the risk and financial aspects of their life.

As an accountant, he thinks that individuals should learn to see their finances as a balance sheet with both assets and liabilities. By doing so, one can then optimize the balance sheet for more assets to last a lifetime and beyond.

ViSenze was founded by computer vision scientists and tech entrepreneurs with the sole objective of simplifying the visual web. Through cutting-edge R&D based on real world problems, ViSenze develops simple visual search & recognition tools to help businesses - in eCommerce, mCommerce, online display advertising, software development & database management - address challenges of exploding visual content on different digital platforms. ViSenze originates from NExT, a leading research centre jointly established between National University of Singapore (NUS) and Tsinghua University of China. ViSenze is invested by Rakuten Ventures, Walden International and UOB Venture Management.

Currently leading Finance, HR and Business Ops Functions. Forming part of the core Business team in a young accelerated start up, my role is crucial in supporting the Management through taking charge of various sections.

Finance
-	Lead and spearhead the establishment of a functional Finance section by implementing internal control measures and an advisor to the Management in accounting issues.
-	Lead the budget process and managing the expectation of Key Stakeholders
-	Prepare monthly financial reports and schedules, including overall analysis of monthly result to Key Stakeholders.
-	Coordinating on Corporate Secretarial and Tax matters.
-       Overseeing all Grant Application process.

Human Resource
-	Taking full charge of all Human Resource related matters including setting of HR Policies.
-	Successfully implemented various Talent Retention initiatives.
-	Managing all company-wide functions and activities.

Business Operations
-	Involved in all aspects of company operations such as Pricing, Software-as-a-Service platform implementation.
-	Proof reading legal document like Letter of Intent, Services Agreement and Contract.
-	Managed the filing of 2 technology patents.
-	Incorporated a subsidiary in the US and setting up operational functions (i.e. bank account, staff payroll) there.

Forming part of the Business Finance team, supporting the key management through providing timely and accurate financial information and analysis. High interaction with various business units to understand the variances on the financials and providing professional advices and support in their decision making process.

Main Responsibilities
• Prepare and develop various monthly financial reports and schedules, including deliverables to senior management. 
• Analyze the monthly financial results, checking the integrity of the information, ensure correct classification and investigating variances against budget and forecast.
• Consolidate the quarterly forecast and annual budget financials, and understand the variances through discussion with various business units.

Being an Accountant in Alpha Investment Partners Limited, the investment arm of KeppelLand Corporation, I am given the opportunity to handle the accounts of various assets from commercial properties to hotel industries in various countries such as Korea and Japan. These assets are mainly investments from fund injected to the company by investors to generate higher rate of return in investment. My job entails the preparation of a full set of account for assets directly held under me, including the preparation of consolidation of accounts and preparation of budgets. Part of my job scope also includes an element of auditing the reasonableness of accounting records reported to us from oversea, the reviewing of assets under the care of senior/account executives and the liaising with external auditors.

Being an Audit Senior in BDO LLP, an internationally recognised CPA firm and the world fifth largest accounting and consulting network, I am given the opportunity to handle audit of Listed Companies, Multinational Corporations (“MNCs”) and Small and Medium Enterprises (“SMEs”) in different industries. This includes, but not limited to, services, construction, trading and manufacturing organizations. My job entails all aspects of auditing, including, audit planning, identifying and testing of internal controls, substantive testing and finalization of the audit engagement.

Focus of job:

- Audit Senior -in-charge of audit cases assigned. Supervises subordinates, performs review of audit working papers and audit field work.
- Planning of the audit engagement and allocating sections in the team
- Leading and managing a team of staff for the audit of Listed Companies and MNCs
- Guiding junior staffs throughout the auditing process of the engagement case
- Doing staff appraisal of the team member in the audit engagement
- Performing test of control, test of details and other audit procedures
