I began my engineering career in micro-fluidics research, moving on to design and build: - Robots at Let's Robot - Software solutions at BeneFit Cosmetic, Sephora, LVMH, and many smaller brands - Go-to-market strategies for brands and companies of all sizes including working as the first hire for Michelle Phan on a beauty startup In each domain, my unifying skill is an ability to solve complex problems and recognize patterns which yield improvements in system performance. Following the years bringing data science to beauty and retail, I have combined my analytics background with a deep dive into market research, human psychology and digital strategy to drive KPIs various industries like beauty and retail through software products and solutions. I co-founded Valex solutions with the former President of Forever 21, Alex Ok, to bring cutting edge technology to the retail and brand landscape. Working and consulting on many successful tech projects yielded many allies and trusted relationships with brands, influencers, major companies and renowned entrepreneurs. Pivoting from tech to finance allows me to leverage my technical expertise and agentic network to strategize, source capital, and do business development within the family office and venture capital ecosystems. My pivot into finance began with a role as interim VP of Strategy at a single family office with over $1B AUM and has progressed to be the first hire to establish a new family office with a principal who created his wealth in tech.
