To satisfy the CAS requirements of the International Baccalaureate I worked at UNI3 along with two classmates as volunteer to teach the basics of Spanish. Speaking in front of a class that included peers as well as older people, turned out to be extremely challenging. To enjoy our job and make grammar more pleasant, we presented some of our personal experiences along with grammar exercises and dealt with topics we find stimulating ourselves such as Spanish pop music, very successful in Italy. Merging the teacher and student sides of my life reminded me how important respecting the deadlines is, spurring me to manage my time efficiently. In addition, seeing students following my explanations and watching them trying to improve made me feel glad and forceful since I was playing a role in their personal development.
