I am highly interested in Artificial Intelligence (AI), its mathematical and programmatic building blocks, as well as the endless possibilities of its application to everyday life. I am passionate about the ongoing effort to create Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) - synthetic intelligence that can reach or exceed human intelligence capabilities across a wide range of tasks. It's fascinating that we're only now peeling back the layers of what exactly "intelligence" means, and in trying to re-create it, realizing the enormity of that task - human intelligence is so much more complex and advanced than we thought when it comes to creating robust, generalizable world models. If we get there, I believe AGI could be humanity's most important technological accomplishment of all time and the solution that could help us overcome so many of our shortcomings as a species. Ray Kurzweil's Law of Accelerating Returns is starting to show in the exciting, ever-growing list of developments happening faster and faster in the space. The singularity is coming. And its implications are truly mind-blowing.
