Guided by the belief that every life has equal value, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation works to help all people lead healthy, productive lives. In developing countries, it focuses on improving people’s health and giving them the chance to lift themselves out of hunger and extreme poverty.

My role includes:
** Active management of the Foundation's portfolio in Uttar Pradesh (UP), India. Change in UP, with its large population of 200 million and dramatically poor social indicators, is imperative for the achievement of global UN Millennium Development Goals.
** Evaluation of potential investment opportunities in the state in the area of Health, Agriculture and Financial Services for the Poor
** Co-formulating the Foundation's strategy in the state along with the Deputy Director
** Liaising with and internal fundraising from thematic (HIV, Maternal and Child Health, etc.) teams in the HQ in Seattle for investments in India

My role includes:
