Responsible for the Pennington County Insurance Programs and Risk Management Programs including developing and implementing policies and procedures. 

Essential Functions:
• Responsible for and manages the County Insurance Programs including policy data for vehicle, property, cybersecurity, workers compensation, employee injuries, and liability claims to ensure accuracy and sufficient coverage levels. Communicates with insurance agencies, County departments, and others as needed, to renew policies in a timely manner.
• Research, design and implement effective risk management programs, policies and procedures to protect County employees and/or property and assets, citizens or private property from accidents, incidents, injuries, damage, and threats. Also manages claims and litigation.
• Administer and oversee the workers' compensation program including incident reporting and processing claims. 
• Provides employee support for return-to-work for non-work related illness/injuries.
• Conduct supervisor/employee training on various safety, risk management, security and workers' compensation programs and related topics.
• Assist in the preparation and development of risk management portion of annual County budget.
• Monitor, assess, and analyze the effectiveness of program strategies and techniques through data analysis. Provide regular reports to the Human Resources Director and/or the Board of Commissioners.
