As Manager EMEA Web Applications I was responsible for Canon's web development and support across the EMEA organisation. As member of the Canon EMEA ICT management team I contributed to overall strategies and ICT policies.

These services are in several technological areas: pre-dominantly web solutions and Lotus Notes, but also other technologies. The department is responsible for pan-European applications as well as local applications in Canon Europa's geographical area.

In this role I have brought together a business oriented department and an IT oriented department to form the support organisation for the web presence platform that was being roled out to the European countries of Canon. I managed a department of 15 staff, participated in the role out by forming a group with country representatives to ensure thorough communication and cooperation across the international web organisation.

In this role I was responsible for the selection of a content management tool in a project that would bring together all of Canon's European country organisations on one web platform. I managed a department and managed several external companies.
