Sales Development Representative

Velocity Printing, LLC

Created from the ground up a specialized printing business that provided contract services to manufacturers and product distributors throughout the United States. Responsible for acquiring all clients through direct sales and marketing. Starting with $70k in capital, grew company from zero to over $2 million in revenue for fiscal 2007 with 40+ full time employees by acquiring clients like 3M Company, Hubbell Automation, Swiss ARMY, and BacardiUSA. Velocity Printing and the industry were significantly impacted by the Great Recession. Despite retaining all clients, revenues dropped over 70% in a span of 45 days during the height of the recession. Velocity Printing survived in new form but eventually elected to shut down print operations in April 2013. 

Velocity Printing (originally named Pad Print Logic until 2008) was a proud member of the San Antonio small business community. During it's ten years in business the company employed 100s of people from San Antonio and the surrounding areas. In total, Velocity Printing performed over 50 million imprints onto products and components that were then shipped all over the world.

Founder & President

Most people nowadays are unaware of the story of Airborne Express.  There isn't much information about the company online so I'll tell you what I know about this tale right here.  A couple of Stanford grads decided they wanted to play in the deep waters with big sharks like UPS and FedEx.  The little engine that could grew from a small regional transportation company to a multi-billion dollar air freight darling by building one of the best enterprise sales forces ever created.  Equipped with top notch sales training a group of 400+ reps & managers pushed back on the huge marketing budgets of the big brands.  Following a sales plan focused on engaging talkative CFO's, the Airborne sales team took client after client away from the giants throughout the 90s.  The Airborne Express story ended with an even more brilliant acquisition.  I am very grateful to the founders of Airborne Express, Bob Cline and Robert Brazier.  The solution based sales training and development they gave me has defined my sales career.  

National Account Manager: I managed eight enterprise accounts that were based in Texas, also assigned large target accounts to pursue with in the region.  District Sales Manager of San Antonio: I managed two sales reps and was responsible for all revenue out of San Antonio, Laredo, Corpus Christi, and the Rio Grande Valley.  During my Airborne career I was directly involved in the high level relationship with many Fortune 500 type companies. Key accounts included iHeartMedia, Frito Lay, Procter & Gamble, Wells Fargo, Intuit, Christus Health and many more.  Created over $20 million in new logo business during my Airborne career including three multi-million dollar outbound sales.
