The core of my experience has been within customer service, having worked in various call centers, service and hospitality industries for the last 30 years. During my tenure within the various industries I have developed training, sales and business development skills as well. My training in Customer Service & as a Trainer held me in good stead, in the last 2 years as a Funeral Service Customer Service Executive I have been recognized in the newspaper forum as an exemplary officer who went the extra mile for a grieving family. In addition I was featured in the People of Ang Chin Moh featurette for my role. As a Docent, I have received numerous commendations via sites like Trip Advisor for my customer service skills and commitment to service quality. This includes commendations for my VIP & Overseas delegates tours and classes. I earned a commendation at our International Convention in the US for outstanding work with the US Embassy in Singapore. I left New Horizons & moved on to 3rd Party Call Centers before settling in to a position in Citibank. At Reed Exhibitions, I was responsible with the setup of its first Call Centre and I personally handled the recruitment, training and development of material for the call center as well as the management of the day to day operations for the 4 Event / Show clusters. I have completed my first 2 year cycle covering Asian Aerospace, Asia Pacific Maritime, The Asia Television and Film market as well as some notable consumer events such as the recent Family Festival. When I joined Pan Pacific Hotel Singapore as its Project Director for the in-house loyalty program. My duties were to increase the number of members under the program as well as achieve the spend per member through a multitudes of marketing programs. During my tenure I oversaw a team of 15 including admin and telemarketers. Half the team achieved Dazzle Diary recognition for exemplary Customer Service and during the 12 months I was there. We achieved sales revenue 10/12 months. In addition to duties as a HOD, I was assigned Duty Manager Roles during my tenure as well. In the following years , I spent some additional time in Business & Event management before deciding on pursuing a more focused role within the Customer Service Industry with tenures as a Docent , Education Officer , Funeral Director & recently as an Outreach & Employment Executive for Persons with Disabilities.
