Tafida Raqeeb Foundation

Consulting the organisation on how to raise funds for the numerous events and projects the Tafida Raqeeb Foundation has planned.

The Foundation was established as a subsequence of Tafida’s brain injury. She was a perfectly healthy child who sustained an unexpected brain injury, leaving her fighting for her life. Legal proceedings ensued to prevent withdrawal of care which resulted in a landmark victory and she travelled abroad to Italy for medical care where her health continues to improve.

The need for Paediatric Neuro-Rehabilitation Centre was soon realised when parents in similar situations began contacting Tafida’s parents.

Around 6000 children are diagnosed with serious brain injury in the UK every year which result in devastating effects on the child and their family. Children rarely receive the rehabilitation they require, predominantly due to the lack of available support.
