For some, the sea is a calling from the start. For others, like me, it’s a discovery that comes later but feels just as inevitable. My background in marketing, analytics, and corporate strategy sharpened my ability to assess risks, adapt under pressure, and make critical decisions in dynamic environments, traits just as valuable on deck as they are in the boardroom. Now, I’ve transitioned into maritime full-time and am training at Seattle Maritime Academy, working toward my AB Special. I thrive in structured, high-stakes environments and have always been drawn to hands-on problem-solving. Whether it’s deck operations, seamanship, or crew coordination, I bring adaptability, a strong work ethic, and clear communication. These are essential qualities for a crew that values safety, efficiency, and growth. The ocean doesn’t care about deadlines or deliverables. It demands skill, awareness, and grit—traits I’ve developed throughout my career and am now refining for life at sea.
