As CEO and Founder of VIP Transformative Living LLC, I provide life-transformative coaching for mid-life Black men (and the women who love them).

I am a certified Life Coach. I apply strategic mindset coaching within a framework of  strength-based and Positive Psychology, and NLP.

My mission is to help Black men  achieve fulfilling and significant career and life goals, without the stress and trauma often associated with Race.

I partner with them to explore their beliefs and aspirations; to resolve their real and perceived barriers; to align their behaviors and performance with their core values.

Kohl’s Corporation named Michael J. Bender as its permanent chief executive officer.

In a Nov. 24 press release, the company announced the unanimous decision of the board. Bender’s appointment is effective immediately, transitioning the interim CEO to the permanent role.

“Over the past several months, as interim CEO, Michael has proven to be an exceptional leader for Kohl’s — progressively improving results, driving short- and long-term strategy, and positively impacting cultural change,” the board chairman, John Schlifske, said in a statement.

I wanted to take a moment to personally share some news as BET enters a meaningful new chapter. I have been appointed President of BET, in addition to continuing my responsibilities as President of Media Sales. It is an honor I don’t take lightly, and I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to continue serving a brand and community that have been central to my life for nearly four decades.
 
As I step into this expanded role, I remain confident in the power, purpose, and enduring impact of BET.
 
The media landscape may continue to shift, but our identity, voice, and cultural relevance are as strong as ever. Our mission is clear: to elevate and celebrate Black culture through exceptional storytelling that inspires, motivates, and reflects the richness of our community.
 
In this next phase, my focus will be rooted in three guiding principles—Community, Culture, and Connection. These pillars will help ensure that everything we build, nurture, and amplify remains aligned with the people we serve and the stories that matter most.
 
I’m looking forward to the work ahead and to stewarding the BET brand with intention, integrity, and vision. Thank you for your continued support, encouragement, and prayers. It means more than you know. I am excited for what’s to come and grateful to be walking into this season surrounded by people who have poured into me, believed in me, and lifted me up along the way.
