Air Terminal Function Supervisor

United States Air Force

Manages ground handling operations at the Department of Defense's largest overseas airport in support of contingency, humanitarian operations, and exercises with minimal disruption.  
•	Solved unheard of logistics surge: faced with 35K Afghan evacuees arriving over 27- day period.  I synchronized  ground support services - latrine servicing, food delivery, security, and off load of 103 aircraft with passengers waiting to be processed into tent city on ramp space.  The ad hoc plan was executed seamlessly, and I was lauded with a 40 hour time off award. 
•	Identified redundant mission by correlating the unexpected arrival of 125 passengers with the aircraft scheduled to pick them up in Africa.  I alerted Headquarters Operations Center who allowed us to repurpose the aircraft to move 18 pallets of revenue generating cargo and saving $250K in operating cost.
•	With less than 24 hours notice, expedited contingency response forces into Kuwait:  1.5K Soldiers on 19 aircraft over a 12 period.  I steered Aerial Port ground operations which included transferring cargo load form broke aircraft to fully mission capable aircraft keeping ground time to a minimum. Postured Untied States assets amid tensions in Southwest Asia.

Aerial Port Duty Officer/Air Terminal Shift Manager

Senior human resource manager for a diverse team of 520 professionals executing 24 hours air transportation operation. 

•	Cultivated a positive organizational culture and reduced disciplinary issues by 54% through instilling discipline based approach, experiential mentoring, and engagement based leadership 
•	Received last minute notification of possible evacuation of US Embassy in Libya.  I managed cargo prep/inspection and ensured three aircraft had logistic assets (i.e. tie-down equipment and unitized loading devices).  Aircraft launched within 6 hours and 150 American citizens moved out of harm's way.

Squadron Superintendent/Operations Supertintendent

Managed the Department of Defense's largest and busiest overseas passenger terminal. 
•	Faced with the loss of a contracted Lower Lobe Loader.  I designed a commercial baggage container forklift attachment from up-cycled parts which saved $57,000 in cost and reduced baggage touches by 80% on seven weekly commercial flights. 
•	Challenged with a team of 193 multi-national members processing 245K originating, in-transit, and terminating passengers annually.  I developed a work team culture with team leads and direct reports which catalyzed an increased QA rate to 95% and aircraft on time departures to 99%.

Passenger Service Superintendent

Led 251 air transportation professional working in five sections performing 24 hour operations.  Managing $51 million facility, a $48 million Mechanized Material Handling System and 91 special purpose vehicles.
•	Executed Air Mobility Command's European Pallet and Net Hub.  Developed sheltered storage plan for 10K pallet and net sets.   Cut 325 flight hours while expediting customer requirements to Europe, Africa, and Southwest Asia. 
•	Innovated new transient human remains process.  Authored standard operating procedures, developed plastic flag cover, and started training process for all team members.   Actions were validated with the flawless movement of 145 human remains in 12 months. 
•	Motivated  35 entry level employees to achieve 100% pass rate on critical skill exams and complete 1K training task in less than 4 months.  Instilling high standards led team to achieve an outstanding 98.6% pass rate during biannual headquarters compliance inspection.

Flight Superintendent, Air Freight

•  Managed operations at busiest deployed air hub supporting $3 billion supply chain.  Melded 391 professionals performing air transportation operations moving 17k tons of cargo, 99% within 72 hours to 10 forward operating bases while enduring 41 enemy rocket attacks.
•	Simplified delivery process or 1.7K life saving upgrade amour kits, containing 40 separate pieces, for US Army vehicles.  New process reduced delivery to forward operating bases by a week.  
•	Reduced safety mishaps by 40% by establishing Safety Observer program for high operations tempo.

Operations Superintendent

• Managed training, equipping and deployment of 1,600 Air Transportation personnel from 91 separate locations in all states and territories in support of state emergencies and national contingency operations.
• Noticed heavy logistic movement of aircraft support equipment for Vice President of the United States weekly home visits to Delaware.  Coordinated with Department of the Air Force to secure equipment and funding for local Air National Guard to support missions.  Reduced the cost and over the road time for weekly equipment shipments from Dover AFB, DE and McGuire AFB, NJ.  
• Acted as Subject Matter Expert for logistics during natural diesters and exercises. Utilized the Emergency Management Assistance Compact, contacted the state Joint Operations Centers for movement of personnel and assets.  
• Becoming overwhelmed with training cost for 91 units.  Executed a centralized training plan at one location providing numerous classes from vehicle operations to aircraft load planning.   Slashed training requirements 66% and annual cost by $46,000.
