As Chief Operating Officer at Chesapeake Hospitality, my current leadership role is responsible for day-to-day operations of our rapidly growing hotel management organization. Strategy, Development, Performance.

- Implemented “Chesapeake One” custom hotel support network as the result of combining proprietary financial management, asset preservation, personnel development, and hotel performance systems.
- Oversaw portfolio expansion to over 7,000 rooms in 15 states.
- Enhanced development offering through increased national presence, key industry panelist and speaking engagements, and advancement of Chesapeake Hospitality's message through publications.

Chief Operating Officer

I lead all field operations for our rapidly growing portfolio of over 5,100 guest rooms of full, select, focused, and luxury hotels in geographic locations covering the Northeast, Southeast, Southwest and Midwest regions.

- Expanded Chesapeake’s proprietary financial management system to include a custom framework of controls leading to above industry returns.
- Strategically grew corporate field support in operations, revenue management, and sales to support multiyear aggressive growth.

Senior Vice President of Operations - Principal

As Senior Vice President of Operations for Chesapeake Hospitality, I managed oversight for all company field operations. Operations portfolio includes - Upscale, Upper Upscale, focused service and select service hotels bearing the Hilton, Starwood, Carlson, IHG, Choice and Independent flags.

- Implemented System Wide Proprietary forecast system to drive surety of performance for clients – results achieved 37% improvement in YOY accuracy and exceeded target of +/- 5% variances.
- Created enhanced enterprise communication leading to increased efficiency and 'best practice' utilization.
- Oversaw 30% expansion in the managed estate and doubling company revenues.

Senior Vice President of Operations

As Vice President of Operations for Chesapeake Hospitality, I was responsible for a diverse portfolio of Upper Upscale city center, airport, suburban, and resort hotel assets. Portfolio brands include IHG, Hilton, and Starwood, along with several private-label projects.

- Led the estate through the financial crisis while limiting downside performance to less than half (½) the industry average. Returned to pre-collapse performance 13 months faster than our peer set.

Vice President - Operations

I served as General Manager for the Full Service Hilton Wilmington Riverside Hotel and adjacent condo-hotel project. My assignment goals included complete restructure of operating and administrative systems and census, recovery of revenues diluted through renovation, and optimization of financial performance.

Results:
- August-December 2008: Increased GOP by 760bp compared to January - July 2008.
- 2009: Achieved all-time record GOP with growth of 2790bp over any previous year while improving guest service.
- Asset continues to perform at peak as of 2011.

General Manager - Hilton Wilmington Riverside

I served as General Manager of the 259-room award-winning, first-class, full-service property located in the heart of downtown Houston. The Crowne Plaza Houston Downtown hotel received the Quality Excellence Award from IHG in 2008. During my tenure, the property increased service performance, operating profits, and gross revenues on consecutive year results. I also helped recover major client relationships and bolstered annual performance by 10.17%.

General Manager

I accepted this temporary assignment as General Manager to oversee complete re-imaging of this 311 room resort property. The Crowne Plaza Hollywood Beach is positioned directly across from the beach in Hollywood, Florida. This asset remains under management with Chesapeake Hospitality.

Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa - Sandcastles Resorts

As Hotel Manager, I oversaw the day-to-day operations of the award-winning Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa. This 598-room oceanfront resort features four outlets, 36,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, a full-service spa, and access to five world-class golf courses. Hilton Waco - Lion Hotel Group

I was hired to continue asset performance at Hilton Waco with the Lion Hotel Group. During my time I increased NOI by 17.4% leading to successful transaction to divest the property from the portfolio in 2005.

I performed day-to-day oversight of all operating departments for this 292-room First Class lodging facility.
