This is an old pic of Nicky and me. She was one of my coolest team members at the University Hospital of the West Indies (UHWI)! Nicky played a huge role in my leadership development, challenging and supporting me in difficult times—especially when I took on more than my job to create a better future for my team and the organization.

In the role of a cashier, I found myself architecting information systems (unimaginably beyond my pay grade!).
 
As a supervisor, I streamlined my department, a task both daunting but immensely satisfying.
 
When I became the new manager, my attention shifted to strategic planning and board reporting (tasks that truly tested my limits).
 
These demanding assignments stretched me beyond my pay grade, but in return, my personal development, leadership skills and reputation soared.
 
Now, as a consultant and executive coach, my encyclopedic understanding, acquired through a rich tapestry of roles, equips me to add discernible value to decision-making, problem-solving, performance enhancements, and learning and development.
 
My work life taught me a profound lesson: the magic of learning from experience compounds over time.
