National chain buyer for ladies and children’s branded footwear: Grew ladies private label footwear GM by 10%; increased top brands Adidas and Vans sales by 30%; revamped the children’s footwear division.

➤  SKU counts and budgets, oversaw the OTB, took action on poor performers (vendor support, re-merchandising suggestions, RTVs, recommended reorders and pricing strategies.
➤  Managed the buying process, including selecting product, building assortment plans based on historical and current performance, analyzing sales and managing inventory flow.

 ➤ Curate product; plan and select the range, negotiate competitive costs/discounts, manage open-to-buy budgets and drive maximum profit.
➤  Product development; work with international and local vendors to create our in-house brand of shoes or SMU's (special make up's) exclusive to our stores.
➤  Trend forecasting; predict future shoe trends and reacting quickly to "hype" brands and styles to ensure they're represented in the stores.
➤  Review existing inventory performance and reacting quickly to change in demand, logistics and trends.
➤  Maintain excellent vendor relations to ensure top product selection and special buys.
➤  Initiate marketing/advertising plans for in-store, e-commerce and social media platforms.
➤  Negotiate with vendors for marketing co-operation (window displays, advertising dollars, product giveaways, gift with purchase etc)
➤  Assess competition, analyze buying patterns and predict future trends.
➤  Facilitate and lead change; continuously evaluate procedures and provide/action recommendations for more efficient business practices.
