By day, I am a Data Science and AI leader. I truly believe LinkedIn is the best option for any brilliant data scientists, AI engineers and economists with its massive scale of data, data-innovation culture, and company’s vision to provide economic opportunity for all. LinkedIn also has super interesting problem spaces for DS and AI, from social platforms, to jobs and ads marketplaces. At LinkedIn, we are fortunate to have Data as an independent and centralized function at its current scale, which is rare in the industry. This allows us to be thought leaders as opposed to a subordinate function and provides our team members with endless learning opportunities and career paths. I feel extremely proud to be part of LinkedIn for over 10 years witnessing, building and leading the world’s best Data org. By night, I have an insanely broad range of hobbies that keep me energetic, creative and focused: • HIIT: I was a regular of Barry’s Bootcamp prior to COVID. Now I am doing Pamela's 45min hard and sweaty exercise daily. • Alternative dietary lifestyles: I melted 15+lb from my 5-month Keto experiment in 2019 and am trying intermittent fasting now. • Drawing: Had learnt and practiced Chinese brush painting for years but now Tombow 2B, charcoal and colored pencils are my best friends. • Reading: Particularly interested in entrepreneurship, leadership, psychology, philosophy and Chinese poetry. • Others: Seafood, minimalism, property investment, growth hacking on other social platforms and more. My personal experience of being blind for 2 weeks in 2019 has made me an advocate for raising awareness for vision health.
