Through carrying out reactions, determining solvent and reaction conditions which will maximize conversion and yield of desired product.

Undergraduate Student Researcher

10 week research position funded by NSF at the University of Alabama.
Project titled Nanoelectrochemistry for Imagine and Sensing under Dr. Pan.
Synthesized perovskite nanocrystals, ran instruments (UV-vis, Fluorometer, ECL), and did literature review on a daily basis.
Preliminary findings presented at Feeding and Powering the World 2017 at the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Mississippi.
Program culminated in 15 minute presentation and a paper.

My laboratory experience ranges from laboratories across disciplines at Gordon College, University of Alabama, Cardiff University, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, and CU Boulder. My recent research was an instrument development project within an analytical atmospheric chemistry lab (Browne group).
