There's nothing that jacks me up more than building a great dev squad and seeing them ship awesome stuff together that elevates everyone's career, it's one of the reasons perm hiring is our main focus. The profiling system I've developed after 18 years of software team building blows the doors off judging someone on the number of years they've used "technology X" which is the central failure of how recruiters/HR measure engineering talent. So far in 2024 we're doing a bunch of AI/ML work for both Product and Consulting companies building new and also baking AI into existing product offerings. When I'm not helping my clients grow their teams I'm creating content and helping bridge the gap between software engineers and recruiters who want to actually learn how to represent them properly. Another big chunk of my time is also spent coaching, advising and prepping engineers who need any kind of help overcoming career obstacles and learning how to interview well so they can keep moving forward.
