Indus Four 

Indus Four is a start-up company dedicated to building modular autonomous robotic manufacturing processes for SMEs. They are based in the Bristol Robotics Laboratory Future Space. I am working here part-time alongside the final year of my undergraduate studies.

My main roles are:

To develop a central control system for the modular autonomous robotic manufacturing processes. This involves setting up master/slave nodes and mastering MQTT communication protocols.  

To develop and integrate a machine vision system to identify loose product in a bin using modern machine vision techniques.

Online Catering Services Ltd AKA Insy

During my time at Online Catering Services, I developed mobile and tablet applications. The small team meant that I was spread wide and thin. I would contribute my thoughts towards important business decisions, bring forward my own strategic ideas and was able to see my influence on the company.  

Most of my time was spend solo developing applications for iOS and Android using the Xamarin Forms toolkit. Some examples of my applications that are available to Online Catering Services' customers today:

Full Stack Mobile App Developer

University of the West of England

FLOURISH was a multi-sector collaboration that helped to advance the successful implementation of Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CAVs) in the UK. I worked part time for the collaboration during my Year in Industry. 

My roles within Flourish: 

Write and integrate shortest path finding algorithm used in the demonstration of the autonomous vehicle.
 
To further the the exploration of simulating an autonomous vehicle moving around virtual landscapes. This was used in a psychological study to see how people interacted with a UI within a moving autonomous vehicle

Research Assistant 

During my internship, I designed the energy harvesting PCB module and produced a Photo voltaic Cell Powered Autonomous IoT Sensor Node. 

The opportunity provided a fantastic insight into a relevant area of electronic hardware. I learned the inner workings of this sophisticated technology and my ambition is to one day be able to innovate at this level.

At Foodoo we help restaurants save money on expensive big food portal fees by supplying brand conscious online ordering websites and apps and channelling your loyal customers into your website at a much lower cost.
