I have taught the following courses: computer networks, data structures, engineering programming, optical networks, queueing theory, and COE application. Moreover, I have conducted research in the areas of optical networks, delay/disruption tolerant networks, and queueing theory.

I have taught the following courses: computer networks, data structures, engineering programming, optical networks and queueing theory. Moreover, I have conducted research in the areas of next generation optical networks, survivable network design, delay tolerant networks, and queueing theory.

Collaborated with Professor Ken Chen from the L2TI Laboratory (University of Paris 13) on a topic pertaining to Delay Tolerant Networks.

Visiting Research Fellow

North Carolina State University

I worked under the supervision of Prof. Harry Perros on a topic related to &quot;Connection Setup Management in wavelength-routed WDM Optical Networks&quot;. This collaboration resulted in the publication of a journal paper entitled &quot;Deadline-based Connection Setup in Wavelength-routed WDM Networks&quot;. The said paper was published in the Elsevier Journal of Computer Networks.

Fulbright Visiting Scholar

A passionate educator with over 17 years of academic experience. I joined the Lebanese American University (LAU) as an assistant professor of computer engineering in 2006, was promoted to the rank of associate professor in 2012, and then to the rank of full professor in 2019. 
I have taught the following courses at LAU: computer networks, data structures, computer programming, optical networks, COE application (Android application development), and queueing theory. 

My current research interests are in the areas of delay/disruption tolerant networks, and buffer-aided communication systems. 
I was the recipient of a Fulbright research award in 2008. 

I am a senior member of the IEEE, served as an associate editor for the IEEE Communications Letters journal, and am currently serving as an associate editor for the Springer Journal of Annals of Telecommunications.
