McKinsey estimates that generative AI could add $2.6 to $4.4 trillion annually in economic value. But the impact won’t land evenly—it will be concentrated in sectors that move fast and apply AI where bottlenecks are biggest.
If you had to bet, which industry will capture the earliest real productivity gains from generative AI?

‘’Some may ask why we’re reducing roles when the company is performing well,” said Beth Galetti, Amazon’s SVP of People Experience and Technology. 
Her answer was simple,  AI. 

“This generation of AI is the most transformative technology since the Internet.”

That statement carries weight. 

Because behind those 14,000 layoffs are project managers, operations analysts, recruiters, people who built careers around efficiency, only to be replaced by a system designed to do it better.

This isn’t just an Amazon story. 

It’s the start of a chain reaction. 

When the world’s largest employer in tech and logistics decides AI can do what humans did yesterday, other corporations take notes. HR teams start automating screenings. 

Marketing departments use generative tools instead of agencies. Customer service gets replaced by bots that don’t take lunch breaks or sick days.

And while companies celebrate “efficiency gains,” the question that lingers is where do all those skilled people go next?

Because AI isn’t just eliminating low-skill labor anymore. It’s quietly reshaping what white-collar work even looks like.

The revolution isn’t coming. It’s already rewriting job descriptions.

A 41% increase in attack surface isn’t just a number, it’s a mirror of how fast our digital ecosystems are expanding.

Every time we automate a process, connect a new tool, or grant another access point, we widen the perimeter we’re supposed to defend. 

And most teams only realize it after something slips through.

For me, this reinforces one truth: cybersecurity maturity isn’t about adding more tools; it’s about understanding your own environment better than anyone trying to exploit it. 

Visibility is the new defense.

What this means is really simple:
If your digital walls aren’t evolving, they are outdated!

It’s tempting to aim for harmony. 

To soften the truth, delay the hard conversation, or keep everyone comfortable. And yes, that might make you liked. But here’s the thing: people don’t follow leaders because they’re agreeable—they follow them because they trust them.

Trust comes from conviction. From showing people the reality they may not want to hear, but need to. From choosing principle over popularity. History is full of leaders who were unpopular in the moment but respected in hindsight because they stood on something solid.

If you’re leading, ask yourself: are you prioritizing comfort, or conviction? One wins applause today. The other builds trust for tomorrow.

In a world optimized by data, the rarest skill is still human intuition.

AI can predict outcomes, but it can’t feel context.

It can calculate probabilities, but not possibilities.

Leaders who know when to trust their gut, not just the graph, will define the next era of innovation.

Agentic AI could automate up to half of repetitive banking workflows, an incredible opportunity if handled right.


But the real question is: where would that value show up first? In efficiency, accuracy, speed, or freeing people for higher-value work?

The gap between those two outcomes isn’t technology. It’s curiosity. Every breakthrough  from the internet to generative AI, started with a question that challenged assumptions.

“What if this worked differently?”

The real competitive edge isn’t in mastering the latest tool. It’s in training your mind to ask sharper, deeper, more intentional questions. 

Because in the end, technology doesn’t shape the future. 

The people asking the right questions do.

Most teams are focused on new and emerging threats, but the reality is that old threats never left.
