Here’s how I write mine in 2 hrs/wk.

Last year and earlier this year, I was wasting too much time writing LinkedIn posts.

So I trained ChatGPT to be my:

→ Personal assistant
→ Editor
→ Best friend in writing

It saves me at least 8 hrs every week.

Here’s how you can turn AI into your senior editor and assistant:

→ Create a ChatGPT project.
→ Tell it about you: your stories, skills, work history, lessons, wins, mistakes, aha moments, turning points, low points, etc.
→ Have it create 3 sample ICPs/target-audience descriptions based on what you fed it. Ask it to think deeply and provide detailed, organized, comprehensive reports on these audiences.
→ Feed it 5-10 samples of your favorite/best-performing pieces you’ve written. Have it reverse-engineer a writing style guide so it can write like you.

Then, do this:

→ Open a new chat.
→ Click advanced voice or speech-to-text.
→ Brain-dump an idea into your AI project.
→ Talk it through to help you organize and write your ideas.

Is it that simple?

And I’m not mad about it. 

Just curious to see what you’re noticing.

You can't be creative when you're stressed.

You can't be stressed when you're being creative.

I heard Martha Beck say this on The Tim Ferriss show.
And I hope I never forget it.

I’ve never been much of an athlete.
Even though I LOVE exercise and weight lifting.
I'm just not great at sports. 
And that's okay. 

But I’ve always loved music.
I’ve always felt creative.

Played drums since I was in 5th grade.
Taught myself guitar at 17.
Started singing somewhere in there.
Played in bands my whole life.

And there’s something about creativity where you just get lost in it.
Lose track of time and space.
It’s one of the best feelings.

And wildly, it seems to dissolve all other feelings.
It gets you totally out of your head.
And completely into the thing you’re doing.

Writers and creatives- you know what I’m talking about.

When you're lost in a project or something creative you're:

→ Totally energized
→ Fully present
→ Not thinking of anything else
→ At it for hours, and it feels like minutes

That’s one of the 97.33 reasons I love writing.
*And creativity in general.

What's one way you put your creative signature into your writing?

ChatGPT and Perplexity decide who gets seen these days. 

Not just Google.

I see it firsthand.

My clients are showing up in AI Overviews and LLM searches right now.

Because I care about staying in front of these AIO changes for them. 

But I’m also advising them:

We need to change, test, and double down on certain plays to stay there.

Ahrefs analyzed 78.6M AI searches.

They looked for the top 10 websites cited by 

→ ChatGPT
→ Perplexity
→ Google AI Overviews

Here are the sites AI references the most: 

→ YouTube
→ Wikipedia
→ Reddit
→ Quora

And guest what other sites are getting indexed by Google and LLMs: 

→ Instagram
→ Our favorite, LinkedIn

Why this matters to yoy

Your brand
Your business
And your clients. 

SEO is not just writing great content for Google anymore. 

You (and your teams) need to be: 

→ Creating videos for YouTube
→ Updating your co’s wikipedia page
→ Writing helpful content for users on Reddit and Quora

So there’s great news for organic discovery: 
It’s not about Google anymore. 

In fact, it’s gone totally beyond that. 

Here’s what I would be doing to help myself with SEO and LLMSEO (AISEO) if I were you:

 Start with FAQs: 

→Use ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google to create a list of questions around your niche, products, services, industry, target audience, etc. 
 
→ Get like 30–50+ of them
→ Drop them into Google or Notion

→ Research and note what results come up for those questions in Google and each of the AI models when you search them.

Then, use that as a template to:

→ Create a helpful series of YouTube videos and shorts

→ Chop those videos up: for Instagram and LinkedIn posts, reels, etc.

→ Founders: Get your team posting on LinkedIn. Start a 30-day LinkedIn posting challenge to get your team posting about the work they do. Give rewards and prizes to winners, most improved, people who had the most fun, etc.

→ Get you (and your team) on Quora and Reddit: Find subreddits around topics related to your business. Help people out in the comments (but do not be spammy or salesy). Do the same on Quora.

Use this information and these platforms. 

Create content. 
Get cited.
Show up in LLM searches. 
Stay consistent. 

That’s what I’m doing for me and my clients.

I know it’s not, and here’s the secret. 

Disclaimer: this also applies to AIO, AISEO, GEO, and whatever the hell else we’re calling it this week.

→ What platforms and channels are important? legacy and trending

→ Where does my target audience hang out?

→ Who are my competitors?

→ What makes me better or differnet?

→ Which of them are showing up most on those platforms or channels?

→ Why are they showing up vs. you vs. others?

→ Use some tools and experience to analyze this

→ Break down your findings into actionable steps to create content for those platforms, around your core topics, pain points, goals, etc. 

→ Make content that’s better & different than your competitors, that’s authentically you.

Congrats. 
Now you have all the SEO secrets. 
They work with all platforms and mediums. 

What’s one SEO tip you’d give to a client, founder, or brand who’s panicking about AI and SEO right now?

You: “Can’t ChatGPT just do all my marketing?”

Me: “I’m just gonna leave this here.”
