Hasten

Hasten Ventures is a social enterprise which originates, designs, develops, and manages natural climate solution (NCS) projects across India. Hasten aims to deliver institutional-scale NCS
with long-term climate, social and economic returns with an emphasis on natural regeneration,
biodiversity revival, carbon sequestration, and economic development. 

As part of the Social Entrepreneurship course at Yale School of Management (SOM), a student team conducted a consulting project for Hasten Ventures with a focus on evaluating various financing structures for their potential in reducing the risk / perceived risk in the natural climate solutions space, thus attracting participation from private institutional investors.

• Developed blended finance strategies for Hasten for Social Entrepreneurship course at Yale School of Management 
• Led the project team on NbS investment expert research, outreach to interviewees, and conducted 25+ interviews. 
• Played an integral role in researching blended finance and devised a strategic "phased approach" to leverage diverse funding sources, while minimizing risks with revenue diversification and carbon credit quality differentiation

Symbrosia 

Symbrosia is a climate tech startup reducing methane emissions with the world's mightiest seaweed.

• Researched potential contract manufacturing partners, initiated scoping meetings, and supported ongoing negotiation
• Reviewed and mapped out organizational internal processes, developed SOP's to streamline internal communications
• Identified thematic VC's, analyzed investment data, and built a database of potential investors for future fundraising

Sanergy

Sanergy is a social venture that addresses sanitation gap in African informal settlements and turns organic waste to valuable agricultural products with black solider flies.

• Project managed new product development for EU-grade insect protein meal through its initial lifecycle - from market research, market-sizing, customer engagement, to cross-function collaboration with logistics and R&D teams
• Supported export logistics for new products in Minimal Viable Test phase, researched EU import regulations to ensure our export eligibility

Green Monday

Green Monday is a plant-based protein manufacturer, retail platform, and a social movement. 

• Initiated and oversaw 30+ partnerships with various organizations, including corporates across industries, communities, schools; Led educational initiatives on food and climate change, advocating for a transition towards plant-based diets
• Custom-designed and implemented 50+ partner engagement programs, encompassing a variety of initiatives such as employee events, green canteen setups, food festivals, cooking lessons, educational talks, screenings, and eco-fairs
• Collaborated with Green Common (GM's vegan restaurant chain), BD and e-commerce teams to secure 100k+ RMB in revenue through partnership activities and recurring businesses.
• Employed skillful communication approaches to build and strengthen client relationships and customers, engaging a wide range of stakeholders, including meat lovers, chefs, c-suite executives, and even third-graders

Interface

Interface is a global commercial flooring manufacturer and leader in corporate sustainability.

• Oversaw the entire lifecycle for all sustainability programs, initiated a waste diversion project to turn left-over nylon yarns from production to handicrafts through collaboration with an NGO, reducing 50-100kg waste per week and raised 4000RMB through charity sales for donation
• Provided sustainable flooring solutions to designers and clients, helping them achieve low embodied carbon and sustainable materials targets; addressed clients' certification inquires, LEED points and carbon calculations needs
• Strategized local communication plans around sustainability, project-managed all sustainability-related marketing activities, oversaw 3-5 large-scale external events annually to ensure the effective showcasing of our sustainability messages, curated engaging content for digital marketing platforms, and designed marketing collaterals.
• Empowered Account Executives to leverage Interface's sustainability leadership to improve sales effectiveness by designing practical and locally relevant sales tools and delivering creative training on sustainability topics.
