I'm passionate about a company’s culture and how that gets created and defined as part of a company’s vision and strategy. I have a track record of success playing a pivotal role working alongside Leaders, Employees, and C-Suite executives focusing on culture, development, and growth especially during times of significant change. For example at D2L, we doubled the size of the workforce and took the company public which was exciting and challenging all at the same time. I excel in my role as Head of People and Culture by aligning culture strategy and people needs with the business strategy. At Open Text, the integration of 35 acquired companies required fostering cultural integration which I led across the enterprise during the company's evolution. I also lead many varied functions progressing in my role - inclusive of Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Shared Services, Learning, Employee Relations, Global Mobility, Talent Management, Compliance and Policies, and M&A. One of the best parts of my roles as being an HRBP to the leaders, and building relationships and trust to drive results in an empathetic and results oriented plan - with high execution. My passion lies in cultivating an inclusive, high performance culture that drives growth and supports inclusion and diversity across a business. I've proven throughout my career the capability and strength to lead organizational and cultural change especially during high-growth, Mergers and Acquisitions, organizational and leadership change, and building an extraordinary People & Culture team that aligns to business goals and strategy, while fostering employee engagement, psychological safety, and leadership and employee development. I am an empathetic leader who is highly accountable, loves to partner to drive results, passionate about culture as foundational and I have a unique blend of experience from Leading a People and Culture team, to a focused team of HRBPS, M&A, Talent Acquisition, Shared Services, Employee Relations, Global Mobility, Talent Development, and Learning professionals. Over 9 years, D2L’s People & Culture team has won more than 50 awards for its talent programs, including: Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work (2022), Canada’s Best Workplace Culture (2022), Canada’s Best Diversity Employers (2023), HR Innovation, and Waterstone Human Capital’s Most Admired Canadian Corporate Cultures (2017, 2020).
