It’s easy to overlook the miracle that happened last night.

Since almost all of Iran’s missiles and drones were intercepted and no one was killed, we just shrug it off as “yeah the iron dome”.

But that’s called getting used to miracles.

The definition of a miracle is something that happens that is above nature. Or science as some people like to call it.

But what is nature?

How does our heart beat?

How does grass grow?

How does an airplane fly?

There’s a scientific answer for eveything that we’re used to.

But what if I would flap my arms and start flying in the air? What if I would snap my fingers and a flower would sprout into a 100 foot tree!

Would you think that’s nature?

You’d be in shock and agree it’s a miracle because it’s an experience that was up until that point considered not possible.

But what if after that, everyone could fly and sprout flowers into trees either a snap? After some time, scientists would come up with explanations and everyone would get bored of it.

So the only difference between nature and  miracle is what we are used to.

Who controls that? 

G-d.

So call it science or call it a miracle, but make sure you know that it’s all controlled by G-d.

If he doesn’t want something to happen, it won’t. If He wants something to happen it will.

I’d like to call this one a miracle, because when hundreds of ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and UAV’a are speeding at Israel at supersonic speeds, filled with massive explosives, the natural outcome is that at least a few of them will get past Israel’s air defense.

But because G-d ordained it, we got 99.99% of them.

It was a great seeing Ambassador David Friedman at a wedding last week.

He’s a strong defender of Israel and continues to serve the public even out of public office.

I look forward to having a longer meeting with him soon. There’s lots to discuss!

After October 7th, I stopped posting about anything business related for several months. 

All I could think about were the terrible things that were being done to my people.

I started posting about Israel every day, multiple times per day. 

There were several of my connections doing the same.

One of the people that stood out was Moshe Sender.

He went from posting about ERC tax credits to spreading awareness about the atrocities committed against the Jews and debunking the lies.

On Purim, the party I was attending happened to be his neighbor. Moshe crashed the party and then invited us to join a Siyum at his house.

I don’t remember much, but what I do know is that Moshe is someone who knows when to be serious and when to have fun.

We had a lot of fun on Purim and now we’re back to being serious.

Because that’s life - there’s a time and a place for everything.

I've been thinking a lot lately about the balance between hishtadlus and bitachon.

The balance for me has shifted back and forth through different time periods in my life

Eli Basch just posted a video of him answering a question on stage from Nesanel Gantz about this very topic. 

Eli said that generally, people think that business is hishtadlus and tefilah is bitachon. But really Tefilah is also hishtadlus. 

When we're struggling, we often will cut out time from Yiddishkeit to put more time into business, as if that's going to help, but really we should spend less time on business and more time connecting with Hashem.

Hashem is the one that gives us all our money. 

He doesn't need us to work. He can give us a billion dollars in 5 seconds and can make us poor no matter how hard we work.

Each person's balance of time is different, but we need to get our priorities straight and remember the true source of our sustenance.
