Seven Consulting is a private and independent Australian IT Project and Program Management Consultancy. We manage and successfully deliver large-scale, complex IT-enabled business transformation projects for Australia’s top companies.

Program Manager

Transport for NSW

At Transport, I had the privilege to work for one of their largest multi-million-dollar multi-vendor program, the CREST Program, for the Infrastructure Services and Service Integration (ISSI) team, within their Corporate Services division. As part of this program, I successfully delivered a complex, high visibility, service transition of Managed Workplace Services (MWS) from an incumbent vendor to a new vendor, selected through a detailed RFP/RFI process. This transition had a budget of $20 million, covering 35-40 distinct Service Lines, including Security Services like SOC, NOC, IAM, etc., classified under 4 separate workstreams – Common Workplace Services, General Workplace Services, Service Desk and Cross Functional Services. It involved the transformation of services under MWS requiring a complete rebuild of IT Service Catalogue, while also redefining them in ServiceNow, updating workflows and process automation to align with the new service catalogue, vendor processes and service agreements. It also necessitated migrating all IT equipment from old Transport Warehouse to the new Vendor Warehouse without impacting any ongoing services, while also integrating the Transport Service Management tool (ServiceNow) with the vendor’s Operational Support tool (ScienceLogic), via Jitterbit, enabling two-way CMDB updates.

Senior/Lead Project Manager

AMP Capital

	Managed diverse and complex projects, end-to-end, for Real Estate IT (REIT) division of AMP Capital.
	Led multiple DevOps teams, establishing an agile workforce and coordinating the delivery of a significant pipeline of technology projects across core systems, data warehouse and CRM.
	Led the Salesforce transformation initiative for the Real Estate business, substantially enhancing user experience, while managing a blend of in-house and offshore vendor teams within budget
	Directed the continuous improvement initiative for JD Edwards, optimising integration workflows and dataflows for improved performance and user experience, while working closely with the Real Estate business stakeholders to manage scope, budget, schedule, and requirement prioritisation
	Executed the migration of Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) within a tight timeframe, while also managing a compliance initiative to create bespoke HFM reports to meet new regulatory standards mandated by ASIC and APRA
	Helped the REIT team enhance user experience by about 23%, mitigated the risks around aging infrastructure, while also saving about 15-20% in ongoing operational costs
	Introduced and coached the entire REIT team and business stakeholders on the Scrum framework, streamlining the project workflows and substantially improving team collaboration and productivity

Agile DevOps Project Manager

HCL Australia Services Pty Ltd

	Managed a key Cloud Migration project and a few Cyber Security initiatives for Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA), while working as a contractor through HCL (further details are outlined in the CBA section below), helping CBA uplift their Essential 8 security controls and improve their risk posture, enhancing resilience and cost efficiency, while also meeting their obligation to new APRA regulations
	Helped CBA teams transition from conventional ways of working to the new Agile ways of working, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning
	Managed “Essential 8” focused implementations like CheckMarx, Splunk, Qualys, CyberArk, RSA SecurID, etc. for HCL clients uplifting their cyber security controls
	Effectively managed several Infrastructure and Cloud projects for HCL clients including Data Centre refreshes & relocations, Cloud Hosting & Security, and the ongoing management of client data centres
	Spearheaded the inbound transition of TransGrid’s IT Services from an incumbent vendor to HCL, while also managing the implementation and integration of ServiceNow and SCOM, integrating SSO with AD, and then integrating ServiceNow with various ITSM tools used by TransGrid’s third-party vendors
	Oversaw the service delivery and support of bespoke systems and applications of Sydney Trains
	Participated in RFP/RFI processes for potential clients, as required

Senior Cyber Project Manager & Senior Delivery Manager

Commonwealth Bank

	Managed a significant greenfield Cloud Migration project for Group Operations Technology (GO Tech) and a few Cyber Security projects for Digital Protection Group (DPG, now Cyber Security Group), working as a contractor through HCL, helping CBA uplift their Essential 8 security controls and improve their risk posture, enhancing resilience and cost efficiency, while also meeting their obligation to new APRA regulations
	Managed the migration of CBA’s Enterprise Document Management solution (OpenText Documentum), with 200TB of sensitive and confidential customer data, from on-prem data centre to AWS Public Cloud, with a budget of $15 million, aligning with the bank’s PaaS strategy
	Directed the implementation of CheckMarx, a Secure Code Analysis Tool selected through a meticulous RFP/RFI process, with a budget of $5 million, integrating it with the CI/CD pipeline enabling developers to proactively scan their code for vulnerabilities, enhancing a critical Essential 8 security control for Vulnerability Management aligning to the bank’s strategic objectives
	Led a key compliance & regulatory project, closely monitored by CBA Board, to assess CBA Group’s existing adherence to a new APRA regulation, CPS 234, and subsequently develop a comprehensive remediation plan to address all identified gaps, requiring close collaboration with risk, compliance, legal, supplier & vendor management teams, among others
	Spearheaded the implementation of another complex and challenging solution at CBA for the E2E (End-to-End) Statements Review & Uplift project, ensuring that all retail banking customers who had opted for electronic statements but could not receive them electronically, would receive paper statements from the bank to comply with an APRA mandate
	Helped CBA teams adopt the new Agile ways of working, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment, and continuously improving team processes

Senior Cyber Project Manager & Solution Delivery Manager

Macquarie Group

Technology Governance and Reporting
	Engaged with technology teams to ensure appropriate inputs in Clarity, and ran governance processes, interfacing with aligned PMO / Business Managers (e.g., Book of Work, Portfolio Reviews, etc.)
	Provided ad-hoc insights and analytics to the leadership team (CIO, COO, Division Heads) using Clarity
	Supervised regular portfolio reporting from Clarity PPM and engaged Senior Leadership to elicit further reporting / insight needs

Governance Maturation and New Business Onboarding
	Managed the continuous improvement backlog for Clarity and drove continued maturation of its processes and better adoption across teams (Tech, Non-Tech)
	Identified workable process standards and best practices for project governance across COG-Tech
	Conducted sprint planning and review sessions, backlog review sessions, and daily stand-up meetings with the team for all pending enhancement requests
	Supported the transition of new teams (e.g., businesses) onto Clarity
	Managed user support to federated governance teams / champions
	Managed provisioning of training / re-training to users and performance support

Clarity - Analytics & Insights, Adoption and User Support Manager

FISERV

	Established a new Offshore Managed Services team comprising over 250 engineers across 35-40 distinct IT services, including cyber security services like Penetration Testing, IAM, SOC, NOC, etc., classified under multiple workstreams, by facilitating the transition of various technology positions from Fiserv US. This initiative resulted in monthly operational cost savings of USD 700K for Fiserv US while enhancing customer experience. It also increased Fiserv India's annual revenue by USD 13 million, contributing to my Business Unit's consistent annual revenue of USD 14.8 million year-on-year.
	Introduced a shared services offshore model to offer affordable services to small and medium-sized clients of Fiserv, driving a USD 16.5 million revenue boost for Fiserv India in its inaugural year.
	Effectively deployed CA Clarity PPM across all Fiserv Business Units, overseeing yearly upgrades, migration to SaaS, and transition from WebI reporting to Jaspersoft. As the offshore Program Manager, I led this 5-year program with phased implementation of CA Clarity PPM modules collaborating closely with the onsite Program Manager.
	Concurrently facilitated multiple server migrations, managed by project managers reporting to me, for Fiserv's Data Centre Consolidation Program that aimed to consolidate over 70 data centres across the US into 5 large facilities.
	Spearheaded a pivotal business transformation initiative to achieve CMMI SVC V1.3 Level-3 appraisal for my offshore Business Unit, significantly advancing the organisation's quality objectives.
	Managed a documentation initiative to create and update technical documentation for all legacy systems, significantly enhancing response times for the Crisis Management Team.

	Worked as an IT Project Manager providing Enterprise Solutions for the IT requirements of global clients, strategically positioning and selling the right set of services to meet their requirements.
	Successfully transitioned the IT Services for Volkswagen-UK from an incumbent vendor to TCS, covering Data Centre Management, Network Management, Service Desk and End User Computing.
	Managed the vendor engagement with CMC Ltd., to establish Data Centres, Head Office, and Branch Offices of DLF Pramerica, across multiple locations, with MPLS connectivity and IP Telephony Solutions
	Aided in retaining the Kimberley-Clark account by implementing rigorous Quality Assurance measures and introducing multiple Service Improvement ideas across teams.
