I am responsible for setting up the development workflow, sales and operations, as well as software engineering.

Colab - Social Learning for students

Colab is a social learning platform for students in Singapore to help learn, share and teach each other with their homework and academics. Our mission was to disrupt and better the current approach to education by creating a fun and social way to learn.

I co-founded Colab and was mainly responsible for the full-stack development of the platform using Ruby on Rails. Several web and mobile platforms were built, and were tested in schools of different levels, namely University, JC and Secondary School levels. I was also responsible for marketing, PR and user experience design for Colab.

My responsibilities include the full-stack development for an idea/startup-curation platform in Singapore as well as client communications for agile development. The technologies used in development were mainly Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.

Assist in research projects with faculty and researchers from MIT and SUTD in both SUTD and IDC (International Design Centre) as a research assistant under Prof Dan Frey, Co-director of IDC and Sawako Kaijima, Research Scientist.

Projects involved:
One-Factor at a Time (OFAT) Experimentation - Helping to prove a Mathematical Equation in Prof Dan Frey's research on OFAT.

Karakuri Outreach Programme - Was involved in planning and executing an outreach programme to teach the importance and application of design and technology using Karakuri (Paper Mechanisms).

ARCH-CFD - Researched on available bus roof shelters in Singapore, and also conceptualised a new form of bus shelter that maximises air flow within bus shelters in Singapore. Also helped to build 3D models for CFD and Air Tunnel Testing.

Med-Tech - Was involved in the conceptualisation and building of medical prototypes for university research collaborations with research institutes overseas and local hospitals (e.g. Khoo Teck Phuat Hospital).

Research Assistant

I have an interest in scaling engineering for tech organisations - in terms of people and building tools/platforms to empower engineers to be more productive and make better decisions.

I strongly believe in minimalistic and simplistic designs in product development to serve people's needs better. I am an advocate of Agile Development philosophies as well as User Experience Design.
