My Story: I was a corporate trainer at a fortune 100 financial company. The agents were in business for themselves with company support. If they didn’t sell they didn’t make money. I was frustrated by the company training - good people washed out. The company couldn’t develop them into POWERFUL BUSINESS PEOPLE. I wanted my agents to become superstars and successful beyond their dreams. But I could barely get them to the point of “just making it.” Then I discovered the power of coaching. It was way beyond training. It dug deep into a person’s abilities, talents and self imposed limitations. I left my comfy corporate position and started my own coaching practice. I started in the financial services industry but quickly found that many business owners had the same issues and wanted help. The biggest transition any business owner goes through is when he/she begins hiring staff. They know a lot about execution of the mechanics of their businesses. However, usually they have little experience or knowledge of leading people. Learning how to ignite your employees confidence is one of the biggest gifts you give them and you. Your business and your culture will flourish with highly engaged confident employees. In the process you become a stellar leader. I am in the process of finishing a book on this subject.
