Solutions Architect & Alliance Manager

In this role, I worked with enterprise clients in banking, finance and public sectors in Singapore.

I worked with sellers and partners to position IBM hybrid data management solutions: Cloud Pak for Data, Data Virtualization, Data Governance, Data Science.

I responded on RFP / RFI on opportunities around Data & AI to position IBM portfolio of hybrid data management (Cloud Pak for Data, Db2, Db2 Warehouse, DataStage, Change Data Capture, IBM Information Governance Catalog, Data Virtualization, MDM).

In this role, I contributed to closing a few opportunities.

 Hybrid Data Management Technical Specialist

* I designed and built full-stack software applications fully integrated with various IBM Watson AI product suite (chatbot, text to speech, document search) and 3rd party (Zendesk, Twillio, Salesforce).

* Those applications delivered tangible business values for customers in different industries - banking/ insurance, education & public sector, oil & gas, semiconductor.

* I also participated in the early stage of sales funnel by conducting requirements gathering sessions with customers’ stake-holders to understand their business objectives and design the tech solution accordingly.

   - Back-end: Python / NodeJs / Docker / PySpark o Database: Cloudant NoSQL.
   - Front-end: AngularJS / ReactJS

Cognitive Solution Engineer

This was one of my "extra-curriculum" activities, it's not required as part of my KPI at IBM. In the two cohorts, I worked with various startup founders from different parts of Asia, mostly still in the early stage. I reviewed the business problems that their products are solving and advised the relevant IBM Cloud services.

* I worked with the marketing team to build awareness about IBM Cloud to the community of developers, ISV and higher education institutes in Singapore.

* I was in charge of delivering technical presentations at meetups, invite-only workshops, hackathons on IBM Cloud services to the audience.

* I followed up with audience to nurture them into paid customers for IBM Cloud.

* I supported and mentored startups selected by IBM to participate the TagPass pre-accelerator program for 2 continuous years 2016 and 2017.

I learned about key concepts of building a company in the ideation stage. By the end of the program, we had to build a company. Together with another classmate, we developed a mobile application to connect like-minded people via lunch. We secured 10,000 SGD funding from NUS. The project was not successful but I learned a lot of lessons on pivoting, fundraising, pitching to users, working with a co-founder especially someone I don't know well.
