I believe that people, not algorithms,
are the heart of any meaningful change.

The role of AI is simple: make work easier, faster, smarter.

But it only works when people feel confident using it.

Go on… give someone a chance.

They’ll surprise you.

I'd rather hire someone 60% qualified who gets excited about learning.

Than someone 100% skilled who thinks they know it all.

Many hiring managers get fooled by fake attitude.

They think these are good signs:
↳ Over the top enthusiasm
↳ Perfect answers they've clearly practised
↳ Grand promises about what they'll deliver

Here's what I think real attitude looks like:

1. How they react when they don't know something
↳ Good: "I've never done that, but I'd love to learn how"
↳ Bad: Making up answers or deflecting

2. What they get curious about
↳ They ask about challenges, not just perks
↳ "What makes this role difficult?"
↳ "Where do people typically struggle?"

3. How they talk about past mistakes
↳ "I completely messed up this project, here's what I learned"
↳ Growth happens when people own their failures

I hired someone last year with zero machine learning experience.

In her interview, she said "I don't understand how transformer models work, but that sounds fascinating. Can you explain?"

Then spent 10 minutes asking follow-up questions.

Now she's one of our strongest AI engineers.

Here's what people don't realise…

In AI, yesterday's cutting-edge skill is tomorrow's outdated method.

The tools change every month. 
The attitude to learn them doesn't.

3 things I believe organisations needs to do:
1. Invest in onboarding + mentorship
→ Strong training programs can develop people faster than hiring seasoned talent.

2. Focus on potential over perfection
→ Can they grow into the role? That matters more than ticking every box today.

3. Consider diversity in experience
→ Non-traditional backgrounds bring fresh ideas to the team.

Remember, you can have a super skilled team but with the wrong attitude / culture, you’ll end up with a toxic work environment. 

So choose wisely!

Hire for attitude. Train for skill.

Everyone wants AI agents.
Very few stop to ask if they actually need them.

In a recent interview with Entrepreneur Middle East, I shared how I think about the AI we’re using today.

There are broadly three levels:
↳ Automation
↳ AI workflows
↳ AI agents

Each step adds more autonomy.

And with that comes more complexity, 
more risk, and often more cost.

The mistake I see is teams jumping straight to AI agents.
Not because the problem demands it.
But because the technology exists.

My view is simple:
→ Use automation when rules are clear
→ Use AI workflows when judgement is bounded
→ Use AI agents when objectives are open-ended

Apply the right level of AI to the problem.
And try to solve it with the simplest approach possible.

That’s how AI scales responsibly.
And that’s how it delivers real value.
