I once dreamed of becoming a world-class academic. MIT, however, had other ideas - and politely declined my PhD application. So I took my talents to a less famous university… and a couple of years in, decided to leave before they could reject me too. Why? Because I realized I didn’t want to just study engineering - I wanted to build stuff. Real things. Fast things. Things that move. Nearly 30 years later, I’m still at it. I’ve worked with top OEMs and suppliers, diving deep into vehicle design, structural engineering, dynamics, and propulsion systems. Basically, if it rolls and runs, I’ve probably helped make it better. I’m a big fan of mobility, curiosity, and telling engineering stories that don’t put people to sleep. I learn by sharing, and I believe a good laugh can go a long way - even in the world of torque curves and modal analysis. I’ve published peer-reviewed journal papers and moonlight as an SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) reviewer. All views here are mine, not my employer’s.
