At the intersection of economics, business, and innovation, I discovered blockchain technology and developed a passion for its potential to positively impact our world. Web3 allows for the creation of new models that scale, incentivise and govern in a way that creates value for all stakeholders. One expression = @modusdapp My fascination with economics was ignited when I began studying it at A-level in the UK. The dynamic landscape and endless developments have motivated me to continuously learn and unravel its complexities. Still a Dutch national, I became a well-rounded business professional with a specialisation in innovation, economics, and management while studying in the beautiful city of Amsterdam. Having researched and bought Bitcoin in 2017 I experienced its second bull cycle. When the next cycle came around Between 2020 and 2022, I managed a small digital asset fund that focused on exploring different decentralised applications, launchpads, and decentralised finance. Through this experience, I gained a deep understanding of how these applications worked and the models they applied. I found endless possibilities for disintermediation, long term incentives and transparent governance. Now where can I implement this next? It was time to build something new! Equity for development is precious in the property development world, so when one of my co-founders approached me for ideas on a platform designed to bring equity in, my thoughts went straight to the models that I discovered and was in awe of in the years before. Forged from platform theory and network effects came new models that scale, incentivise and govern in a way that creates value for all stakeholders. In our case, our community and property developers. Thus, alongside my co-founders, we initially tackled the regulatory aspect associated with Modus. Next, I used my previous experience and expertise to lead a team of 7 designers and engineers to develop the frontend, backend and blockchain architecture of our Web3 platform. Two years on, we have a solid legal framework in place, have our platform in the Alpha testing phase, and have a rapidly expanding community. We now work everyday towards our common vision of bringing property development access to the world and advancing the Web3 space into a new era of real-world returns.
