Event Coordinator

Conceive and organize economic and policy programs concerning issues of interest to the Council of the Americas’ corporate members. Manage all related administrative and logistical aspects of programming.

Initiate and maintain relationships with foreign diplomats, individual and corporate members of the Americas Society and the Council of the Americas, press, and other constituents involved in Western Hemisphere affairs.

Work closely with the organization’s different departments: communications, membership, policy, and the office of the president and CEO.

Conduct research of current regional trends and country-specific information through online resources, printed media, and attendance at various Latin America-related conferences.

Add members to the database (Raiser’s Edge) and maintaining its accuracy.

Public Policy Programs Associate

Help to maintain close communication and foster partnerships with key political actors in the states of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Responsible for coordinating and planning meetings between the Consul General and local authorities, as well as with key organizations, students, Mexican professionals, among others. 

Prepare agendas and information crucial for the visits, facilitation of contacts, and coordination of conferences and activities with other departments within the Consulate. 

Follow closely political issues that are of interest to Mexico and with impact to the Mexican community in the NY-NJ-CT jurisdiction. And consequently the bilateral relationship among both countries.

Political Affairs Analyst

Obtaining information relevant to provision of consular services by interviewing individuals, reviewing on-line applicants' passport application history, reviewing name searches for consular id (matricula consular) and passport applicants, and verifying information as necessary provided by applicants.

Processing consular identifications or passports, including reviewing and reconciling consular identification, passport issuance, report of birth, and other controlled records and supplies, determining and verifying required clearances prior to issuing consular identifications or passports; and preparing their revocations, security advisory opinions, and advisory opinions.

Interacting with those applying for consular services, including explaining entry procedures to persons, dealing fairly but compassionately with all clients, including applicants refused passports, and communicating appropriately with passport/consular ID applicants.

Trade Support Operations. Confirm derivatives transactions with executing brokers and day-to-day trade follow up with the banks. Responsible for data-checking trades that have been conducted, provide technical support, enhance, and refresh the front office trade capture systems and infrastructure. Responsible for the timely and accurate generation and execution of electronic confirmations for different FX transactions for Latin-American Emerging Markets. 

Produce timely, accurate, and accessible books and records / trade data, including post-trade amendments. Serve as liaison between traders and their back office when issues with trades arise. 	Create and submit reports to internal counterparts.
